Visiting Cadbury World

Dive into the history of the UK’s favourite chocolate with lots of yummy samples and fun on a day out to Cadbury World.

You’ll find Cadbury World in the beautiful village of Bourneville (yes, like the chocolate bar) on the southwest side of Birmingham. Once there, you’ll find plenty for the whole family to do and enjoy.

Things to do at Cadbury World

There’s so much to do at Cadbury World, from learning about the origins of chocolate to playing around with it! Here are some of the highlights to expect during your visit.

The 4D cinema with motion seats is great fun. If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to dive into a bowl of liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk, this is your chance to experience it! Join Freddo and his Cadbury friends as they take you on a journey fit for any chocolate lover.

Next, head to the Aztec Jungle to discover the origins of the cocoa bean before learning how chocolate is made. You can also learn all about the Cadbury family and how they made Bournville their home and community.

Once you’ve learnt all you can about the history and production of chocolate, you get the chance to make some of your own. Head to the Chocolate Making Zone where you can choose your favourite treat to add to a yummy pot of warm melted Cadbury Dairy Milk and see chocolatiers at work. You’ll also get to try your hand at tempering and piping chocolate.

The interactive Cadbury Chocolate Quest is great fun for kids and adults alike. The ride takes you on an adventure with Freddo and his Buttons monkeys to collect as many chocolate ingredients as you can.

For a nostalgia fix, head to Advertising Avenue, where you’ll see sets from recognisable Cadbury adverts of the past.

A trip to Cadbury World typically takes 2 – 3 hours, and even more if you have little ones who want to explore and make friends in the African Adventure Play Area.

Getting to Cadbury World

Cadbury Worlds location in Bourneville makes it easily accessible via public transport. From Bournville Station which has wheelchair access it’s a 15 minute walk or quick taxi ride away. Bourneville Station can be reached via Birmingham New Street which has links with all major cities.
