Head for a rip-roaring day of fun at Chessington World of Adventures, just 35 minutes from central London and less than a 30-minute drive from our Walton on Thames Club Site.

Chessington World of Adventures rides
Chessington’s theme park has a great mix of rides and attractions for all ages. Here’s a selection to look forward to.
Mandrill Mayhem
Enjoy a thrilling ride around the sites of Jumanji with an inversion and backwards sequence. This is a ride for adrenaline seekers of 1.2m and taller.
Croc Drop
Do you dare to experience a 25m plunge into the open jaws of a crocodile? Crop Drop is exactly that, with three rounds of drops to thrill the bravest of adventurers.
Ostrich Stampede
A herd of storming ostriches is heading your way. Board this ride to swerve and avoid their onslaught. Riders must be 1.2m and taller.
Vampire
Experience flying as if you’re a vampire on this family-friendly rollercoaster. Your legs will be dangling as you fly upside down, twist and turn along the tracks through the woodlands.
Kobra
On Kobra, you’ll spin backwards and forwards through the air at 43mph. Sit facing outwards on the disk-shaped ride (you might spot the tigers in the zoo if you look hard enough) as you spin for 3 minutes, gaining height and speed as you go.
Gruffalo River Ride Adventure
Float down the lazy river in your barrel through the deep, dark wood to discover the world of The Gruffalo at Chessington.
Zufari: Ride into Africa
This is Chessington’s safari adventure where you’ll have the chance to see giraffes, white rhinos and zebras.
Chessington Zoo and SEA LIFE centre
The Zoo at Chessington is home to over 1,000 animals, including:

In the SEA LIFE centre, you’ll get to meet underwater creatures, including turtles, pufferfish, sharks, rays, seahorses and much more!
Food and drink
Chessington has a wide selection of places to grab a drink or quick bite, as well as restaurants for a full sit down meal.
In the theme park, there’s Mexi-co Kitchen, The Vampire Burger Kitchen, Captain’s Fish & Chips, Drop’n Chicken, Smokehouse BBQ & Bar and Pizza Pasta.
For a quick pick-me-up The Coffee Hut and Dragon’s Lair Café are perfect for a hot drink and cake. You’ll also find locations to grab an ice cream, donuts and sweets, everything you could possibly want on a day at a theme park.

Getting to Chessington World of Adventures
Chessington’s location in Greater London means it has great transport links and is only a 35-minute train ride from central London.
Public transport to Chessington
Chessington World of Adventures is around a 10-minute walk from Chessington South train station, which is easily reached from major London stations. From our Walton on Thames Club Site, you can catch the train from Hersham station, 1 mile from the site and then change at Wimbledon.
You can reach Chessington by bus too; plan your journey on the Transport for London website.
Parking at Chessington
Those driving to Chessington should be aware that all entrances to the Resort are within London’s Ultra Low Emissions Zone. Check your vehicle to find out if you’ll need to pay a daily charge.
You’ll need to pay to park at Chessington, you can pay for parking online in advance or pay at the barrier.
