If your next Cornwall beach camping holiday has got 'away from it all' written all over it, then Sennen Cove will be right up your street.

It's a small bay located just a couple of miles from Cornwall's famous Land's End, the most westerly point of England.

You can reach Land's End from Sennen Cove on foot, by following the superb South West Coast Path. But that's certainly not the only reason Sennen Cove is worth a visit. Facing northwest, this pretty crescent-shaped beach boasts soft powdery sands, fantastic surf and even its own small harbour.

It's a working fishing port, a magnet for beach-lovers and a surfing hotspot, thanks to those impressive breakers rolling in from the Atlantic.

It's remarkably well-equipped with cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops and toilets along the seafront, while a lifeguard patrol is provided on the beach during the summer season. The village of Sennen Cove itself offers plenty of car parking.

As you might expect, the coastal scenery in this corner of Cornwall is really quite something. The brief walk up to the old coastguard lookout is highly recommended, which offers superb views of Land's End.

At low tide, it's possible to walk from Sennen Cove beach towards Gwenver, enjoying the coastal scenery and wildlife. Do remember to keep a watchful eye on the incoming tide to avoid becoming stranded.

You can bring your four-legged friend to Sennen Cove at any time between October and April, although there is a seasonal ban on dogs from May to September.
