Founded in 1995, Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary have campaigned for animals in need and public awareness of animals suffering in the intensive factory farming industry. Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary has given sanctuary to around 2,500 horses; many rescued from the farming industry. Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary is now home to 4,000 animals! This includes horses, ponies, donkeys and more.
