Have you ever experienced camping under a canopy of trees, staring out across beautiful heathland where ponies, cows and pigs can roam free? It sounds quite magical doesn’t it!? That's exactly what journalists experience at our Camping in the Forest Sites in the New Forest!
Last weekend we invited journalists from across the country to a media event at our Hollands Wood Camping in the Forest Site, for them to enjoy a unique camping experience.
Not only were we treated to glorious weather – we had a great mix of new and experienced campers attending, all eager to find out why we have so many repeat visitors to the site - to explore and experience the local activities and attractions.
During the weekend, the journalists were treated to; National Park Ranger Walks, Sunrise Bushcraft activities, canoeing at the New Forest Activity Centre and some even got to experience the New Forest by hoof on a horse trek!
And they also got to taste local produce with a hearty evening BBQ – plus they also munched on afternoon tea from the very lovely Rosie Lea Cafe in Brockenhurst (well worth a visit!).
I’d just like to take the time to thank all those involved. A big thank you to our event partners; The Forestry Commission, Brand New Forest and The National Park Authority. Additionally, I’d also like to thank our event sponsors; Outwell, Vango and Go Outdoors.
It really was a fantastic event and I’d urge anyone who hasn’t tried a Camping in the Forest Site, to book a pitch! They really offer the chance to get closer to nature – the perfect family holiday!
