Camping Loire Valley & Central France

Camping in the Loire Valley and Central France is a great way to really immerse yourself in French life and culture. This lush, green region is criss-crossed by many great rivers and is famous for its vast swathes of vineyards producing some of France's finest wines. This makes it an ideal camping destination and perfect for those who love outdoor activities such as swimming, cycling, walking, fishing and golf.

See a taster of what the region has to offer in the video below:

Campsites in the Loire Valley are also great for exploring the ancient history of the area. It is here that Henry II, his wife, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine and their son Richard the Lionheart are buried. There are an array of museums and châteaux to explore, and the Puy du Fou stages breath-taking shows with warring Vikings, clashing Gladiators and even chariot races.
