Small, high quality, welcoming and relaxed, with facilities open all season.
La Ravoire has developed into a site that is much loved, both by couples and families who enjoy mountains and lakes, as well as the more adventurous who can join in with activities booked through reception. Picturesque Annecy is well worth a visit, as is a day trip to Chamonix and Mont Blanc.

We stayed at this site 10 years ago but it has changed significantly. We didn't have any children with us and this now really a site for families with the addition of a bouncy castle and play area since we stayed before. We were allocated 2 pitches right opposite the shower block which seemed to be a magnet for children of all ages (site was almost full so no alternative) I thought this lacked a bit of forward thinking from the people running the site. While the showers were cleaned at the start of the day they soon got in a bit of a state. We had heavy rain which didn't help but there was very little grass in-between pitches (mainly due to reduced light as very dense tree cover), the heavy rain quickly turned this into a mud pool. The site has a shop selling basics and bread etc for the morning and a snack bar - both were handy. The road works were a bit of a nightmare, the seem to be digging up the whole of central Annecy (diversions ok but up rather steep hills) as well as the road from which you access the road leading to the camp site - no signs to help you here and it was rather stressful trying to work it out !!. Carefree contacted us prior to our holiday to tell us that there was some building work being done on the other site we had booked for this trip but strangely
nothing about these road works - a heads up would have been helpful !. On the plus side you can quickly get onto the cycle path to take you into
Annecy and get get views of the lake after walking 3 mins from the site.
