Being able to choose our own pitch was what made the holiday special.

This review is for La Mignardière

Being able to choose our own pitch was what made the holiday special. Every family wants different things out of a holiday and we wanted space, peace and quiet which we got. We all slept well because we weren't too close to others. We felt refreshed after our holiday. The pitches all have high hedges around them so they can be as private as possible. The activites were great:tennis, table tennis, swimming. Near by is a lake with high wires and climbing into the trees-teenagers loved the zipwires.

We spent 23 very enjoyable nights here.

This review is for La Mignardière

We spent 23 very enjoyable nights here. Huge pitches but best to go for those on north (right hand side) as quieter here. Left hand seems busier and mostly tents. Mix of motorhome/campervan, tents, caravans and chalets. Lots of French, German and Dutch. Toilets ok and clean enough. Make sure you walk the site before choosing your pitch as not all fully serviced are large. 112.113, 114, 134/5/6/7 and 150/1 are large and very private. Fresh bread, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin every day. Couldnt be more helpful and arranged appointment with local vet for echinococcus treatment for pet passport. Ideal location for exploring the many chateau or just chilling at the very clean swimming pool. Recommend highly

We stayed here so we could visit Tours and use the velo routes.

This review is for La Mignardière

We stayed here so we could visit Tours and use the velo routes. We had a lovely welcome and the site staff were extremely helpful. Maps were available for velo routes, buses, supermarkets and places to visit and the staff helpfully mark the maps with highlighter pens to make routes even clearer! We took the bus to Tours from outside the site and cycled to Villandry. The takeaway was open from lunchtime through to the evening (very good frites!) as was the shop which had all the essentials. The facilities were very clean and plentiful and staff were cleaning and emptying bins throughout the day so everywhere was neat and tidy. The swimming pools were great with plenty of sun loungers (we used the unheated pool mostly as it was quieter). Pitches were of varying sizes both sunny and shaded with easy access to electricity and water. The site is busy (it was full when we left) and there was always a lot of children cycling around which did worry us a little as we saw quite a few collisions. A speed limit for cyclists may be helpful! Lots of reviews often say that site staff can not do enough for you and this is certainly true here. We hope to return to this lovely site, especially due to the access to the velo routes and for the happy family atmosphere.
