We would not stay here for a holiday, but as a stopover from the ferry it was handy, with a large Supermarket near by. You could order bread at reception and the chilled beer in the bar was well received.
However, the toilets were not too bad - but no seats and as stated in a previous review, no soap in the dispensers. Our pitch was very muddy and we also had our guy ropes stolen from the awning during the night.
Not good reception for SAT dish.
In spite of this, we have booked a 1 night stay for our return to England, as it is ideal for ferry.
Most UK vans pitched next to river, small, muddy, pitches, midgy, dirty loos. Pool nice, but, a little grubby.
It is convienient for the ferry, but would not stay more than 1 night if we use this site again. We stayed 3 nights, and the owners checked the loos almost hourly, but did not clean them while we were there.
We had booked and paid through the club...other who had not paid in advance left after one night when then had intended on staying longer.
It wasa great base for Pegasus Bridge, which is an enjoyable 1/2 mile walk along the river.
The site is not terrible, but there are so many that are far better.
This is a good site for a one night stop from Oustreham Ferry (Less than 4 miles). It is also a good stop for longer. We have done both. The cycle path along the canal up to Ouistreham and the Normandy Beaches and also down to Caen where you arrive close to the Castle and the Cathedrals. Reception very good at site. English spoken. I would recommend this site. Pitches by canal are roomy and up on higher level. although smaller, are nicely accessible with Car & Caravan.
Toilet blocks and showers roomy (no toilet seats in loos) Don't worry they are clean and tidy. A very good site.

Well this site is a very typical European holiday camp with their only claim to fame is their swimming pool! Not sure how they get four stars? Mostly static holiday homes with a few pitches for campers which are very cramped and very uneven. Tariff up to 60 euros per night for a family of four with hook up. Toilet block very basic for the campers with one toilet roll dispenser for all toilets which for the two days we stayed never had any toilet paper in or soap in the dispenser to wash your hands and the showers were cold. You can only use the pool if you wear speedos no shorts French law? We decided to leave after only arriving maybe half an hour if that but where told we could leave no problem but there would be no refund. So to summarize this site is for the static campers just not worth it if you?re passing through.
