Just outside the historic city Narbonne
The friendly owners of this well maintained lakeside site are keen to welcome you and to offer very keen prices out of the main peak period. The individual sanitary blocks on each pitch, which can take the largest of units, are a definite plus. Windsurfers will enjoy the easy access to the lake. Day trips to Cathar country should definitely include a trip to the Corbières and Minervois vineyards. The medieval fortified town of Carcassonne is also worth the trip.

Things we liked.
Easy to get to off the motorway well signposted.
Friendly helpful staff helped us when we needed to take our car to main dealer for minor repair.
Staff helped us in locating a pharmacist and doctor when I had a chest infection
Decent well appointed site.
The site restaurant was fine
What we didn't Like.
Effectively close to an industrial estate.
The campsite is adjacent to a lake where we expected some form of beach not available. Although not the sites fault the areas around the lake were very littered.
The nearest beach is at Gruissan although not far away we travelled on very narrow roads to get there and driving on the wrong side of the road for us it was little hair raising at times with speeding drivers.
Although the camp site brochure shows cycle paths the people on the site with whom we spoke did not cycle any where as they thought it too far and dangerous with the as above drivers.
We walk not cycle there was little or nothing to walk to in easy range.
Narbonne plage is shown as 16km ( I think) away. However the time taken to get there either via Narbonne( busy place to drive in ) or Gruissan it seems much further than this.
A lot of mosquitos on the site. The site did have 2 ( as far as I could see) insect zappers but needs more as both my wife, my self and co campers were bitten frequently .
Visited Narbonne a couple of times during our stay but in our view not an overly exciting destination
A decent friendly site but poorly situated and we and others we talked with felt a little restricted in what we could do and where could go
The big probelm was location if the site was near narbonne plage say, it would be ideal.
At the end of our stay we chatted with several other people close by and the general concensus appeared to be our visits would be the first and last time.
