With its great location on the Mar Menor lagoon, La Manga is a campsite with lots to offer.
Rally Dates 21 Sep 2013 - 15 Apr 2014 (Members only)
La Manga resort, the beautiful coastal area of Calblanque, fishing villages such as Cabo de Palos, and several golf courses are close by, while the whole region is reported to have the lowest average rainfall in Europe. Walking and cycling in the locality are popular occupations among members here, but it’s also a great site for simply relaxing, with the convivial tapas bar on the beach a favourite spot for passing the time. New for this year, we now offer a limited number of larger pitches for units up to 12m long. Our most popular site, La Manga has been welcoming Club members for over 15 years, and offers rallying from early autumn right through into spring. The peak period is December to early March, while other times are generally quieter, although during Semana Santa (Holy Week, leading up to Easter Monday), the campsite and the local area are likely to be very busy as Spanish campers come to celebrate. During this week local celebrations can last well into the night and provide an insight into how Spanish people love a fiesta.

Autumn Rally information 21 Sep – 05 Jan
Stewarded by Tracy Doyle and Colin Harris • While this rally is generally quiet, with fewer members than on the winter rally and fewer people around the area, more and more members are discovering the benefits of a warm early autumn break • Many ralliers often join in to put on a popular carol service, usually on Christmas morning • The rally builds in popularity to the busiest period over Christmas • Typical rally activities (subject to demand) may include quiz evenings, games nights, boules, fishing trips, barbecues, cheese and wine, meals, dinner dances, dancing, walks, hikes, bike rides and coach excursions to local places of interest.
Winter Rally information 05 Jan – 15 Apr
Stewarded by Carol and Arthur Lancaster (with their assistants taking over for the last three weeks of the rally) • Typical rally activities (subject to demand) may include quizzes, dinner dances, line dancing, boules, beginners’ bridge, rally suppers, games nights, table tennis, barbecues, hikes, walks, bike rides, regular
golf trips, shopping trips and coach excursions to local places of interest. A good programme of evening activities is usual. In January and February the area will be bustling with visitors from across Europe, and the site will be in very high demand, so early booking for your full intended stay is essential.
This rally is a favourite and extremely popular, and members should book the maximum stay required, as arriving early or extending your stay on site may not be possible, especially in January and February. All extensions once on site must be made at reception and are charged at the full public tariff.
Up to 172 rally pitches | Nearly all members will be sited in K area, with all this area having to be filled before pitches can be allocated in the adjacent L area | 95m2 pitches in area J are one block from main rally area K and will be allocated by the site.
Reception and supermarket located 200m away from rally area | Pool bar function room adjacent to main rally area K. Mirador function room, bar and restaurant next to the beach, 600m.
We run two rallies at La Manga, and although they dovetail so that members can stay through both if they wish, it must be clearly understood that the two rallies are entirely different in character • In quieter times, at the discretion of the Rally Stewards, some activities may be opened up to other campers, so as to ensure their viability. Conversely, space may be at a premium for some activities (perhaps rally dinners, for example), which may operate on a ticket only basis.
Rally Date: 21 09 2013 - 15 04 2014
