    Top site for photography

A glorious campsite location at the foot of the Scottish mountains.

Walking boots are a must for campers visiting our Glencoe Club campsite. Surrounded by National Trust for Scotland managed woodland, this is wonderful walking country. The West Highland Way passes within nine miles of the campsite and there are many other low and high-level walks. You can even bag yourself a Munro or two – there are eight within the vicinity of the site.

Whichever of the 102 pitches you choose at Glencoe, you’re guaranteed stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The facilities are excellent and include a laundry, locker room and drying shed.

The eco-friendly Glencoe National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre is a short walk from the campsite. It has interactive displays, a shop and a café. In nearby Glencoe the Glencoe and North Lorn Folk Museum gives an interesting insight into the history of the area.

Glencoe Activities in Ballachulish offers a choice of 20 activities and tours – from golf and canyoning to rib and Segway tours.

More relaxing pursuits include a ferry ride across Loch Linnhe or embark on what’s regarded to be one of the greatest railway journey’s in the world from Fort William on the Jacobite steam train .

A most memorable visit to Glencoe, the site is well laid out, lots of good dog walks. Even though it rained the whole time of our stay it did not put the dampers on our holiday. We visited many places our favourite and a must to go to is Morar near Mallaig with its white beaches it is breath taking. A big thank you to Stephen & Maureen you are both a credit to CCC.

We have stayed here before and loved it, as we did this time. Brilliant scenery to look out on and lovely places to visit. The weather was fairly kind to us but if you visit Scotland you have to expect some rain although 2 years ago we had brilliant sunshine almost all through our stay. The only downside to this site is that as it is set in trees there are an army of mossies to get at you whenever the atmosphere is right (which is all too often) and fetching the water is always a challenge. We eventually bought some head nets which helped but I would suggest taking fly spray with you as they do seem to get inside your unit very sneakily and bite when you least expect it.
