A peaceful haven in the Scottish Borders.
If you’re wanting to explore the Scottish Borders or on the way to or from Scotland, our Jedburgh Club campsite is the ideal stop off. Located close to the pretty border market town of the same name, this campsite is also perfect for walkers.
Jedburgh is a small campsite – just fifty pitches – catering for all types of camper including backpackers. Tent campers have their own separate tree-lined, level area and there is a recreation field beyond. Facilities include toilets, showers, laundry and a wash up area.
There’s a lovely riverside walk into town, if you’re lucky you may spot some of the local bird and wildlife. Once in Jedburgh you can follow a two-mile historic town trail which takes in some of the local landmarks – Jedburgh Castle Jail, Queen Mary’s House and Bonnie Prince Charlie’s House.
More seasoned walkers will enjoy the campsite’s proximity to St Cuthbert’s Way and the Borders Abbey Way. Jedforest Deer and Farm Park just south of Jedburgh as well as lots of animals to see, has a falconry centre and a wooded adventure playground. Jedburgh is also handy for visiting more border towns including Duns, Kelso, Coldstream and Galashiels.
The 250 square mile Keilder Water and Forest Park is a short drive away, offering a range of activities including walking, cycling, star gazing, sailing and canoeing. Jedburgh is also ideal for anyone wishing to experience the unique common ridings – a spectacular display of horsemanship commemorating the centuries old patrolling of the border country.

Small site, handily alongside the A68, within walking distance of Jedburgh town.
The site is separated from the road by a small industrial area, and surrounded by trees, so there is almost no traffic-noise heard on the pitches.
I was last here ten years ago, and was disappointed to find that the toilet block had not been updated since then. Ron, Syl and Paddy do a sterling job, keeping the place spotless, despite the dated facilities.
Having previously paid for a yearly WiFi ticket, I was very disappointed to find the coverage did not extend to the grassed area of the site.
Having said all this, the site would be a wonderful centre for touring the famous, and very historic, Border and North Northumberland towns and villages .... something I'll be returning to do.
It's a very popular site, so it's probably a good idea to, at least ring, before turning up.
