Overview

A peaceful haven in the Scottish Borders.

If you’re wanting to explore the Scottish Borders or on the way to or from Scotland, our Jedburgh Club campsite is the ideal stop off. Located close to the pretty border market town of the same name, this campsite is also perfect for walkers.

Jedburgh is a small campsite – just fifty pitches – catering for all types of camper including backpackers. Tent campers have their own separate tree-lined, level area and there is a recreation field beyond. Facilities include toilets, showers, laundry and a wash up area.

There’s a lovely riverside walk into town, if you’re lucky you may spot some of the local bird and wildlife. Once in Jedburgh you can follow a two-mile historic town trail which takes in some of the local landmarks – Jedburgh Castle Jail, Queen Mary’s House and Bonnie Prince Charlie’s House.

More seasoned walkers will enjoy the campsite’s proximity to St Cuthbert’s Way and the Borders Abbey Way. Jedforest Deer and Farm Park just south of Jedburgh as well as lots of animals to see, has a falconry centre and a wooded adventure playground. Jedburgh is also handy for visiting more border towns including Duns, Kelso, Coldstream and Galashiels.

The 250 square mile Keilder Water and Forest Park is a short drive away, offering a range of activities including walking, cycling, star gazing, sailing and canoeing. Jedburgh is also ideal for anyone wishing to experience the unique common ridings – a spectacular display of horsemanship commemorating the centuries old patrolling of the border country.

Eat Local

Two independent butchers in the town source all their meat locally. There are two local bakers within a few miles of Site. The Simply Scottish restaurant serves predominantly Scottish food and the nearby fish and chip shop also sells Scottish fish.

Hi a lovely site in a prime spot ideal for stop if trave!ling from north to south or vice versa very good and clean toilet block the only downside is the road that runs through it when there's a football match on some of them are speeding up and down on this road and you never know if they are using the toilet block as the doors can't be seen from the office witch is not the wardens fault who are doing a marvelous job under the circumstances which is a shame for them as they try to keep football folks from parking on the pitches that are for caravans common the officials of the club try and do something about it..

Hi what a lovely site very well kept, wardens very friendly, toilet block old but spotless good warm showers, the town has everything that you need, the only thing that let's it down is the public road to the local football fields so the wardens are limited to what they can do regarding plants/flowers ect but still well kept

Jedburgh site is a small site suitable for the older member.

Jedburgh site is a small site suitable for the older member. Its facilities such as toilets and showers are somewhat dated, but kept very clean. The wardens, Sylvia and Ron are professional, helpful, friendly and caring, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good when we stopped, but we managed to make use of the local public transport, which provides bus stops outside the site entrance. The town of Jedburgh is steeped in history with a castle gaol, and also a house where Mary Queen of Scots stayed. Keep up the good work Ron and Sylvia
