    Top site for fishing

St Neots campsite is on the banks of the Great Ouse, a wildlife haven & close to town.

Walkers, cyclists and fishermen will love our St Neots Club campsite. Within striking distance of the south Cambridgeshire market town of the same name, our St Neots campsite enjoys a waterside position on the banks of the River Ouse.

Our charming campsite is ideally situated for visiting the many attractions and walking and cycling countryside of the south Cambridge area. It has 180 pitches. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and sit back and watch the boats sail by. Fishing is available here from 16 June until the site closes for the season.

Although the site enjoys a quiet location, all the amenities you need are on the doorstep. You are within strolling distance of a lovely pub and a lovely riverside walk brings you into St Neots which offers a number of independent shops as well as national retailers and a varied choice of eating places.

During the summer St Neots hosts a number of festivals including a medieval festival and a regatta.

The town also has a number of parks including the Common, Priory Park and Riverside Park. Set amongst huge weeping willow trees, there are lakes for boating and fishing, picnic areas, children's play areas, and many marked cycle and footpaths.

For nature lovers Paxton Pits Nature Reserve at Little Paxton, comprises 75 hectares of gravel pits, meadows, scrub and woodland next to the River Great Ouse. There is a wealth of wildlife and a network of marked paths to enjoy.

The university city of Cambridge is around ten miles from the campsite and has many cultural attractions and shopping opportunities.

Worth Noting

Tow-cars must remain on site overnight (due to possibility of flooding). Please note that canoe/dinghy or any small boat launching on the Great Ouse must be registered before arrival with the Environment Agency Recreational Waterway (Registration) 1979. As the entrance/exit road to this site is very narrow with no passing places, please ensure that you do not arrive before 1pm.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

There is a farmers' market in St Neots on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.

We were in our caravan & our son and his family pitched their tent next door.

We were in our caravan & our son and his family pitched their tent next door. The site is very clean and well planned out. The site had suffered lots of rain but Kevin the warden managed to find us a fairly dry spot. We were sited correctly by the staff who make sure that you don't breach the safety rules. St. neots town centre is only a short walk through the park and an excellent place to exercise our three springer spaniels. All the facilities were spotlessly clean and reception stocks the bare essentials such as milk etc. We would thoroughly recommend this site for a quite week end and will be definitely booking again.

We are so grateful to the wardens if this site, especially Laura who without hesitation rushed to our aid when our dog collapsed. A vet was arranged for us and she took us in her own vehicle with the promise of a lift home when required. We would not have managed without her help. All this we realise was over and above the normal duties of a site warden, and we will be forever grateful.

We stayed at St Neots in February and thought we may have soft ground to camp on.

We stayed at St Neots in February and thought we may have soft ground to camp on. No, there was more than sufficient hard pitches. Unfortunately, only one toilet block was open despite many campers arriving to visit the Camping Exhibition at the nearby NEC. There is a Youth Hostel 100 yards from the camp's entrance for meals, a drink. Birmingham city is nearby. Very and friendly staff. Ground almost flat so not much levelling. Good for long and short stays.

Have stayed at this site quite a few times and enjoyed it very much. This year we went to look at the site and to see the new managers, well we were not impressed by their attitude at all, if we could not be there by 8.30pm we would not be let on the site untill the next morning. The impression we had was we should take Friday afternoon off work and take kids out of school to arrive by 8pm ! !
