Site is clean and well maintained, always on hand to help out. Very friendly site, with laundry, dish washing and ironing facilities along with spotless shower and toilet block. Close to the Anderton Boat lift and various other attractions and not far from some very friendly pubs that do food also Friday night on site is fish and chip night. Will definitely be going back again.

our idea was to go to Chester Zoo and we found this site close to Chester never been there before booked for 2 nights then decided for 3.so easy to find with or without the sat nav arrived mid afternoon met the wardens who showed us to our pitch, grass pitch, plenty of room nice and quiet had a walk round found where all the amenities were everything we saw was lovely and clean if we wanted to know anything the wardens were the to help and advise there was walks through the woods or trail biking for the kids but for us it was the fact that we could leave the motor home on site and catch the train into Chester a 100 yd walk to the station hop on the train and 15 min you was in Chester then the choice of the Zoo or town centre what a brilliant three days so much we,ve book marked that site again thanks for a nice time see you later in the year.

Delamere offers excellent access to the undulating MTB trails in Delamere Forest.

Delamere offers excellent access to the undulating MTB trails in Delamere Forest. I am an early riser so was able to head out with the family still in bed and get an hour's worth of exercise every morning and most days never met anyone. We were also lucky enough to have GoApe vouchers given to us at Christmas so went out on Segways and undertook the treetop experience too at the GoApe centre which is less than half a mile from the site's back gate. With Delamere Station next to the site you can access the cities of Chester and Manchester. In addition the small Station Cafe serves up a fabulous All Day Breakfast which you can work off with a run round the Forest!

A lovely site for families & couples in wooded area.Good clean facilities, welcoming staff. Dog loved the woods and walks we enjoyed going to Chester but would recommend the train (about 5 mins walk) as traffic is terrible! Local shop is about 20 mins walk but easy walking, woods are lovely lots of good walks if want further/longer walks but good for dog walks am/pm. Facilities were always clean and well looked after with laundry dish washing & hot (not too hot) showers.Shop very basic so go prepared but local co-op about 15 min drive. Will definitely go back !!
