    Great site for families

Enjoy wonderful Northern Irish hospitality in this beautifully situated campsite in County Down.

Mountains, coast and countryside are all accessible from our beautiful Club campsite at Delamont Country Park, in Northern Ireland.

Our campsite sits adjacent to the stunning Delamont Country Park in a peaceful, rural location. Bordered in part by trees Delamont is a level site offering Club Service Pitches, some now benefiting from the addition of hard standings. There is also a modern washblock and a small site shop.

The country park is ideal for stretching the legs. Walk up the hill to the Strangford Stone and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views over Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. In addition to the fantastic walking, the park is perfect for family picnics, barbecues and games with specially designated areas. You’ll also find Ireland’s only fresh-air gym, an outdoor adventure playground, miniature railway and heronry. The Lough itself is a birdwatchers paradise – see Brent Geese, Knot and Terns – and enjoy a lough-side walk.

Killyleagh just over a mile from the campsite is a pretty town with its own ‘fairytale’ castle and a selection of shops and restaurants. Belfast is also accessible from the campsite and, for a quieter day out, head to the beautiful Mourne Mountains in the south east or head to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast in County Antrim.

Please note: There are no grass-only pitches at this campsite so an additional pitch fee applies. However, there is a small tent area with standard pitches, which can be booked by contacting the site.

Worth Noting

There is very limited car parking space for second cars or visitors - more parking is available in Delamont Country Park. Please be aware that some of the Hardstanding pitches on this site comprise of a grass covered reinforced plastic hardstanding.

One of the best sites in Ireland for cleanliness and quietness and yet old and young can have their own space and fun. This site is just outside Downpatrick town and Killyleagh village and has plenty of activities for the energetic and the non energetic alike. Beautiful coastline around Strangford and Ards peninsula this site has it all. Shouldn't be writing such a good review as there won't be any pitches left, the hard pitches have helped immensely and as stated before staff are very friendly just what you want when you go for a short break as we do quite regularly.

Stayed for nine nights as a base for touring around. Easy access to all the main routes. No problems with us arriving early and leaving late due to Belfast/Cairnryan ferry times - staff were very accommodating and helpfull. Would definitely use this site again. :-)

This review is for Delamont Country Park

This was our first camping adventure as a young family, so my wife and I were understandably concerned. However, these concerns soon vanished. The site staff were very friendly and helpful. The site facilities were immaculately clean and I really mean pristine. There was a very friendly atmosphere with the other guests and the kids made lots of new friends and had a great time. As a bonus, we got free entry to the country park with our booking and the kids (boy 6, and girl 3) really enjoyed the adventure playground and train rides. Overall, excellent and well maintained site. Lots of friendly guests and no trouble experienced at all. Thank you Camping and Caravanning Club Delamont :-)
