    Great site for families

Enjoy wonderful Northern Irish hospitality in this beautifully situated campsite in County Down.

Mountains, coast and countryside are all accessible from our beautiful Club campsite at Delamont Country Park, in Northern Ireland.

Our campsite sits adjacent to the stunning Delamont Country Park in a peaceful, rural location. Bordered in part by trees Delamont is a level site offering Club Service Pitches, some now benefiting from the addition of hard standings. There is also a modern washblock and a small site shop.

The country park is ideal for stretching the legs. Walk up the hill to the Strangford Stone and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views over Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. In addition to the fantastic walking, the park is perfect for family picnics, barbecues and games with specially designated areas. You’ll also find Ireland’s only fresh-air gym, an outdoor adventure playground, miniature railway and heronry. The Lough itself is a birdwatchers paradise – see Brent Geese, Knot and Terns – and enjoy a lough-side walk.

Killyleagh just over a mile from the campsite is a pretty town with its own ‘fairytale’ castle and a selection of shops and restaurants. Belfast is also accessible from the campsite and, for a quieter day out, head to the beautiful Mourne Mountains in the south east or head to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast in County Antrim.

Please note: There are no grass-only pitches at this campsite so an additional pitch fee applies. However, there is a small tent area with standard pitches, which can be booked by contacting the site.

Worth Noting

There is very limited car parking space for second cars or visitors - more parking is available in Delamont Country Park. Please be aware that some of the Hardstanding pitches on this site comprise of a grass covered reinforced plastic hardstanding.

This review is for Delamont Country Park

we were caravanning with Bangor D A .most vans were on Grass pitches. conditions underfoot were extremely wet and muddy and as we have a campervan accessing a suitable pitch was very difficult. The HSMs work under trying conditions!!!. as we are local we know most of the local attractions. the info provided was good and up-to -date.

Stayed here many times and always enjoyed it, but have noticed since Hugh and Betty have taken over as wardens the site has improved 100%. the hardstands and barriers were a welcome improvement, the smaller improvements they have done like the path by the barrier and table near reception are added to make it even better. The grass and hedges and cleanliness of the site is excellent. Recommended campsite for all.Hopefully Hugh and Betty will stay with us for years to come. Looking forward to our next trip in a week or two.

The site lies within an extensive country park in a beautiful location.

This review is for Delamont Country Park

The site lies within an extensive country park in a beautiful location. There are extensive areas to walk cycle and play in the country park and an excellent adventure playground. This would account for the limitations upon leisure and play areas on site. The managers on site were most helpful in all respects both in facilitating our visit and ensuring we obtained best value. The toilet block is a credit to any holiday location. We do not live far from the site but our visits, both as a family and later with our DA leave us looking forward to returning. We were especially pleased to be able to enjoy both tent and caravan pitches side by side, though in the busy period the tent was at full cost of the large pitch including electric. The all season age concession was a boon though!
