Tregurrian is a great for watersports & people looking for a seaside holiday.

Camp at our Tregurrian Club campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice of beaches to visit. There are fourteen close to our stunning campsite in the North Cornwall, located just north of the popular seaside town of Newquay.

Watergate Bay is the closest and is a short walk from the campsite along the South West Coastal Path. This two-mile stretch of golden sand is popular with families. The Atlantic swell here also makes it equally appealing to watersport lovers. The beach hosts annual surfing events too.

Surfers will also be drawn to Newquay for Fistral Beach which also hosts a number of events through the summer including surf championships, a fun dog show and the popular Boardmasters event which includes skate and BMX competitions, live music and competitive surfing. Other attractions of the town include Newquay Zoo, and the Lappa Valley Steam Railway and you could spot seals and dolphins in the harbour.

Our pretty Tregurrian campsite offers 90 level pitches. The well thought out site has immaculate faciliites including a handy wetsuit shower.

A few miles up the coast Padstow has some excellent restaurants, including one owned by celebrity chef Rick Stein while Watergate Bay is home to Jamie Oliver’s 15 Cornwall Restaurant.

Having just returned from a fabulous break I am now planning the next one, which can't come soon enough. The site is 5 mins walk from the stunning North Cornwall coast, a great place for our early morning dog walk. It was quiet, friendly and a truly restful break. You are about 15 mins away from Newquay and all the beaches from Newquay to Padstow are dog friendly and absolutely stunning. There's a great pub on the beach at Porth where you can take well behaved dogs inside with you, who serve good quality straightforward food at sensible prices. All in all I can't wait to go back again - as soon as possible. Thank you Tregurrian you're a real gem.

We had a great experience at Treggurian, even more so as the weather was good. The site office carried lots of information leaflets if places to visit. The beaches of Watergate Bay and Porth were lovely and Newquay town centre was within 10 minutes in the car. we visited lots of lovely places during our weeks stay, all within driving range, including, Truro, Port Isaac, Bodmin Gaol, the fascinating museum of the porcelain china works, the Geevor Mine and quite a few harbours.

Heated facilities block - useful when the nights dropped to 3 deg, and the days not much above 8. Distant sea views, easy access to the surfing centre of Watergate Bay and Newquay, yet off the beaten track and so no traffic noise (except from Newquay airport, but that was no problem. Few minutes walk to the coast path, not much over 30 minutes to attractions like the Eden Centre, Truro, etc. Site, both hard-standings and grass, all very level. Might be a little exposed in really strong Westerly gales, but the stiff breeze when we were there caused us no difficulties. Great spot all round - and as we've come to expect, the wardens couldn't have been more helpful.
