Tregurrian is a great for watersports & people looking for a seaside holiday.

Camp at our Tregurrian Club campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice of beaches to visit. There are fourteen close to our stunning campsite in the North Cornwall, located just north of the popular seaside town of Newquay.

Watergate Bay is the closest and is a short walk from the campsite along the South West Coastal Path. This two-mile stretch of golden sand is popular with families. The Atlantic swell here also makes it equally appealing to watersport lovers. The beach hosts annual surfing events too.

Surfers will also be drawn to Newquay for Fistral Beach which also hosts a number of events through the summer including surf championships, a fun dog show and the popular Boardmasters event which includes skate and BMX competitions, live music and competitive surfing. Other attractions of the town include Newquay Zoo, and the Lappa Valley Steam Railway and you could spot seals and dolphins in the harbour.

Our pretty Tregurrian campsite offers 90 level pitches. The well thought out site has immaculate faciliites including a handy wetsuit shower.

A few miles up the coast Padstow has some excellent restaurants, including one owned by celebrity chef Rick Stein while Watergate Bay is home to Jamie Oliver’s 15 Cornwall Restaurant.

Worth Noting

There is a wetsuit shower on site. Watergate Bay Beach is just 0.75 miles away and is dog-friendly all year round.

We felt at ease from the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and polite, we had a very nice welcome and it felt as though we had been to the site many times, even though it was our first. You had a view of the sea, And all the facilities were clean and tidy If it was an hotel I would rate it as 5 star I would certainly reccomend it to my friends

Really great site, with views of the sea.

Really great site, with views of the sea. Our only issue was the grass pitch, we'd have preferred hard standing, it rained and we did sink a little. There is a bus 5 mins walk away to either padstow or Newquay. A great pub called the travellers rest in trevarrian within walking distance and obviously the great whitegate bay with a few other eating drinking places to choose from. I highly recommend the beach hut. Also the south west coast path a few minutes away. Excellent for those who like more peaceful sites a little away from the crowd.

The only thing which would have improved the stay for us would have been if the site had a designated dog exercise area. It was quite a trek to an area where the dogs could be let off their leads, out of the site, down a lane, across a busy road and through a field, onto the coast path. The coastal path and the two beaches we walked to, Watergate Bay and Mawgan's Porth were beautiful, both dog friendly. We went for a meal in the Watergate Hotel with the dogs, who were given a bowl of water without asking and the food was really good. We would recommend the site and hope to return one day.

We were fortunate to have fine, sunny weather for our stay and made the most of it walking the coast path, usually to Watergate Bay. With Newquay and Padstow both close by there would be plenty to do if the weather wasn't so good. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the whole site, especially the shower block. Certainly a site we intend returning to.
