    Top site for cycling

A campsite dramatically located right on the edge of the country, on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall.

Situated on the Land’s End Penninsula, within a few miles of both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, is where you’ll find our pretty Sennen Cove Club campsite. Although a couple of miles north of Sennen Cove, the campsite does enjoy sea views over the cove from some pitches.

Gwynver Beach is a 25 minute walk from the campsite. The beach at Sennen is a 45 minute walk away from the campsite. From there, the energetic can walk over the coastal path to Land’s End, another 90 minutes away. Land’s End is England’s most westerly point and, as well as spectacular scenery, there are many family attractions including a 4D film experience and the Monsters of the Deep exhibition. Back in Sennen Cove you can learn to surf.

Our tranquil campsite has 72 pitches and all the facilities you need - a small play area for the kids, and a playing field for ball games; a small shop selling the basics, a laundry with washing machine and dryer with an iron and ironing board also available and an indoor washing up area.

The south coast of the peninsular offers Gwenver and Porthcurno, also the Telegraph Museum and the Minack cliff top theatre and Penzance with its historic harbour areas. Also, pretty out-of-the-way fishing coves, including Penberth, Mousehole and Newlyn, with its fish festival at the end of August.

North from the campsite, a pretty but very narrow, windy road leads through St. Just and Pendeen. There are some excellent walks around the old mine workings near to Botallack and the Geevor Mine, for those with an interest in this part of Cornwall's industrial past. Further afield, via Zennor, the pretty, but very busy, fishing port of St Ives with its Tate Gallery of modern art is worth a visit

I intended staying three nights and have so far been here 17, with a few more to come. Simply, this is the best run site I have stayed on in sixty years of camping. We have had all sorts of weather and it can get very windy, but what else can one expect on a spit of land jutting out into the Atlantic? The grass pitches are flat and drain quickly, just as well as there has been a fair bit of rain. The toilet and shower blocks are dated but spotlessly clean, though it would help to be an anorexic contortionist to facilitate squeezing between the toilet roll holder and the cubicle door. The managers and staff are a credit to the club and probably the main reason I have stayed so long.

First impressions, had a lovely welcome and site managers were very friendly and helpful, good knowledge of area, wanted to walk to Sennen cove and given typewritten instructions that were inadequate to someone who hadn't been to the area? (In hindsight should have purchased a detailed map), wasted time taking 'dead end' paths and path down to gywnver beach not suitable for anyone with arthritic knees!! Eventually found cliff path after many wrong turns. Sennen cove itself is very pretty and can imagine must become very busy at the height of the season? The alternative way out of the town by road is treacherous to say the least as no pavements to walk on? To have named the site 'Sennen cove' is a little misleading as its not actually that close to the cove itself it's at least a good 45 minute minute walk away. We were lucky when we stayed as weather was excellent but wouldn't have enjoyed it had it been windy/raining as site very exposed. Very good for people who enjoy long walks and don't mind a bit of an adventure. The site itself has adequate facilities but must struggle with showers/ toilets in peak times as not many to choose from but what there were, were immaculately clean . Overall a lovely site for a short break or for those wanting peace and quiet and lovely views, ideal for dog owners.

This site is in a stunning area with some great views it was pretty quite when we stayed as the weather wasn't great. However, we still used the time to good effect with some superb walks directly from the site. Nearest pub is 2 miles away(Sennen Cove) or St Just (3 miles) which has some great pubs with good food. The site is well maintained (the site team didn't seem to stop all day) and it was noted they have changed the time of cleaning to mid afternoon so we always had access to the loo's. Very friendly and welcoming a real treat of a site with something for everyone, a large dog walking area with a football pitch and a play park for the kids whilst us "oldies" could relax and enjoy the sunsets over the lovely sea view. Many thanks to the Sennen Cove Team hope to see you all again soon.
