The surrounding area

Beautiful beaches, stunning cliffs, pretty villages and quaint hamlets all make up Cornwall’s unspoilt Roseland Peninsula. It’s here you’ll find our charming Veryan Club campsite just off the Roseland Heritage Coast. The South West Coast Path is a mile and a half from site and the great beaches of Veryan - Carne Beach, Pendower Beach with East and West Portholland Beaches just a little further.

The mild climate in and around the Roseland Peninsula means plants flourish here. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, and the National Trust’s wonderful Trelissick Garden are testament to this.

Head to St Mawes, south of the campsite. From this pretty fishing village, catch the ferry to the seaside town of Falmouth. As well as great beaches, Falmouth offers the National Maritime Museum of Cornwal and Pendennis Castle.

The wardens here live up to the reputation of C&CC as the "Friendly Club".

The wardens here live up to the reputation of C&CC as the "Friendly Club". Despite it being Bank Holiday weekend, they helped my son move there when he had problems at a non club site nr Padstow. We had booked to go there ourselves a few days later and it was in desperation that we rang to see if they could help. They stayed late after finishing for the day to sort out how he could move there, when I explained that the family would have to go home and helped him settle in when he arrived the next day with two young stressed children. When we arrived from another area a few days later, my family was full of praise for the help they had received and when I met the wardens, I could understand why. The toilets were always clean, the site tidy and the wardens always smiling. Good wardens make all the difference to a holiday. Thank you. My son is now a member of C&CC club.

We did not enjoy our week here mostly because of the weather.

We did not enjoy our week here mostly because of the weather. But it says on the site's website allocated dog walks but it was actually a field you walked around. Beach is probably in walking distance but a long walk hilly and on main roads people are not afraid of putting there foot down on country lanes so a bit scary. Toilets are clean but I found them to have a sicky smell. TV room was locked. Shop only open a few hours a day and very expensive. Other campers not to friendly. We found a spar shop at the petrol station about half an hours walk again a bit of that on main road. No maps available on site to show any local attractions or activity's in the area. I'm afraid we will not be returning.

Just returned from 5 nights camping over the Bank Holiday.

This review is for Veryan

Just returned from 5 nights camping over the Bank Holiday. Although the site was busy the units were spaced out so that there was plenty of available space for privacy and for children and adults to play. The scenery is lovely and the site is extremely well looked after by the very friendly staff. The facilities were clean and fresh and there were sufficient loos and showers for all. One sad fact though is that due to vandalism the recreation room was closed. It is a shame that some campers felt the need to damage the equipment and thus deny others the use of the facility. Hopefully that is a "one off" and not a regular occurrence. I wouldn't hesitate to book there again in the future.

Near to many local attractions, and also secluded walks and beaches, the site position means that most places of interest are within an hours journey in the car.
