    Top site for beaches

Our lovely Club Site on the south Devon coast.

The South Hams offers a wonderful mix of coast, moorland and rolling hills and a range of activities to match from walking and cycling to sailing and surfing. For history lovers there are delights such as Totnes Castle and The South Devon Railway, while a range of arts and food festivals and sailing regattas will keep culture-vultures happy.

Where better to base yourself to enjoy these delights than at our lovely Dartmouth Club campsite. Aptly named as the attractive harbour town is just a five minute drive away, the site offer campers stunning sea views over Start Bay. Spacious pitches, a large camping field and family shower room are among the facilities on offer.

There are beaches aplenty - Blackpool Sands is within walking distance – Slapton Sands, Torcross, Beesand Beach and Hall Sands are a short drive away.

Also easily accessed are Totnes, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. At the latter cross the River Dart to the pretty village of Kingswear and hop on board the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway for a ride along the Torbay coast. While on this side of the river, Greenway is a magical place to explore. Once the holiday home of Agatha Christie it is now managed by the National Trust.

Just ended a super 5 day break at this wonderful site. Booked early and our special request of having a flat pitch close to the shower block was honoured. Reception staff very friendly and helped us to pick out a wonderful walk around the Dart Valley. Loved our stay and would recommend it to others without reservation!

From the moment we arrived we knew that we were going to enjoy ourselves. We received a very friendly and helpful welcome which continued throughout our stay. We did not have the best of weather, constant high winds and showers with some fog thrown in to test our resolve. Having said that, the site is ideally suited to visit Dartmouth and the surrounding areas. We enjoyed visiting Brixham, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Slapton Sands. We also visited a Vineyard near Totnes, Sharpham Estate, excellent wine and Agatha Christies house at Greenways, a 'must see'! In fact, we intend to return to visit other places we missed on this occasion. So if you are considering South Devon, we certainly recommend staying here.

Site is located in a very beautiful area & has one of the best & cleanest shower/toilet blocks that I have encountered. Unfortunately the site itself can be very windy. Many excellent pubs & restaurants nearby, including the Green Dragon in the village, serving good food. Pity the pub at the camp entrance is presently closed.

Approaching from M5 Bristol use the Higher Ferry route avoids narrow roads. But don't leave that way roadworks can cost an hour. Lots of cycle paths and coastal routes also bus routes to Kingsbridge and beyond. You can enjoy this site making it as active or as peaceful as you like.
