This Club campsite is great for the whole family, set in Dartmoor National Park.

Our lovely Teign Valley, Barley Meadow Club campsite lies at the northern edge of the Dartmoor National Park in the heart of Devon. Surrounded by moorland landscapes and wooded valleys this campsite is perfect for a relaxing break.

A small site, just 63 pitches, it caters well for all types of camper with good toilet and shower facilities, a children’s play area, games room and shop.

Sit back and admire the views across Dartmoor from your pitch or pull on your walking boots and join the Two Moors Way. This popular long distance trail passes just a few hundred yards from the campsite. For a gentler stroll, pretty Drewsteignton village is a short walk away. Reward yourself with a well-earned pint at the Drewe Arms or continue on to Fingle Bridge, a local beauty spot, or Castle Drogo, England’s newest Castle.

Some of the attractions further afield include, the National Trust run Finch Foundry, the last remaining water-powered forge in England, Canonteign Falls – England’s highest waterfall, Fernworthy Reservoir and Stone Lane Gardens. Around twelve miles from the campsite, Exeter offers a mix of culture, history, places to eat and shops.

This review is for Teign Valley, Barley Meadow

The owner was rude and unhelpful from the very beginning. Campsite half empty. We arrived on Saturday and he insisted we book for two nights. Told us to hurry up because 'he was going out'. We wanted to stay one night (we had to be back at work on Monday) but he insisted on two nights. He said he was the owner and that he made 'no money booking one night.' We pointed out that the website said nothing about having to stay two nights (Sat and Sunday!) He gave the impression he couldn't be bothered to deal with us and got increasingly belligerent. So of course we left never to return. Suggest the C&C club tell him to get his act together.

What a wonderful site this was our first time with a Camping and Caravan Club Site we were very impressed it is on the edge of Dartmoor with a bus that stops right outside. Janet and Barry the site owners are a lovely helpful couple that cant do enough for you and so knowledgeable about the area can't wait to return

We received a very friendly welcome on arrival at this site and were given a choice of pitch after viewing those available. We were also given a local tourist map along with recommendations of places to visit. The site is very well maintained and the services are clean and well maintained. Great location with easy access to Dartmoor and Exeter as well as many other places worth visiting. We have no hesitation in recommending this site and will stay here again if we return to the West Country with our caravan.

this is a lovely site lovely area only let down by the camping and caravans old-fashioned approach to an evolving camping scene my van and drive away awning wasn't aloud to come off the hard standing area by 3ft making seeing to me young children awkward yet a neighbouring unit was aloud to park a second car on their grass in my opinion this site doesn't like young families i booked hard standing for my van not van and awning x
