The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

A really friendly welcome and a lovely site with pristine facilities.

This review is for Charmouth

A really friendly welcome and a lovely site with pristine facilities. A great base to visit local seaside towns, beaches and cliffs at Charmouth itself, Lyme Regis and Seaton. Very good Fish Bar in Charmouth that sells lots more than fish and chips. Crab sandwiches on the beach at Beer. Long walks along the prom at Seaton. And Dartmoor is less than an hour away if you want some walking that's a bit more demanding.

Once again this site surpasses the very high standards that by being a member of the C&CC we have come to expect. Very warm welcome. exceptionally clean facilities. The site is also laid out with blocks of 5-6 caravans being screened from the other caravans by hedges giving a very secluded and peaceful environment I would definitely stay here again should I visit this area.

We stayed for 1 night only but were given a warm welcome by the staff on duty.

We stayed for 1 night only but were given a warm welcome by the staff on duty. We were given a wide pitch which was ideal. The site was clean and well run with beautifully maintained grounds. The shower/toilet facilities were good, with washing up area too. A little further from the coast than we would have liked, but we did cycle down to Axminster which was okay. Would return again. Ideal for a quiet break in a secluded area, for older couples, families, but not for young people.

Not only is the site great so are the reception staff, very helpful and informative. As a bonus there is a great catering van that visits up to 4 days a week (fish and chips to die for). Many local attractions and beautiful towns and villages on the coast and inland. If you are an animal lover the Donkey Sanctuary is a must - very impressive.
