The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

We have just returned from a delightful 9 night holiday at Charmouth.

We have just returned from a delightful 9 night holiday at Charmouth. From the moment of our arrival to our departure we found all the staff were cheery and willing to help in any way they could. All the facilities are kept spotlessly clean. There is a visiting chip van on Thursday which sells reasonably priced and good quality fish and chips. Do try the pork roast available on Sunday evening; you will not be disappointed. We are hoping to visit the site again.

Just got home yesterday from a 6 night stay ,from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were very friendly and helpful .The shower block was modern and immaculate (thanks to Dale) Surrounding area was quite and peaceful and good for a bit of bird watching. A mile walk to the bus stop but on the flat and a good bus service to places on the coast which we used on 3 occasions .Over all a brilliant site and one we will be visiting again.

Only arrived yesterday, the staff very friendly on arrival, no problem setting up as very large stone hard standing. Beautiful camp site and very spacious. The toilets and showers and modern and immaculate! The shop has fresh bread and milk every day. Well stocked. Very quiet and only a short drive to the coast. Easy roads to follow. A good base to stay to explore this beautiful coastline. Lyme Regis is very pretty, excellent shops and a good tesco express for extra shopping you can't find on the camp site. We left out dog at home as she's getting older and we wanted to walk more, but excellent walking areas for dogs here. Probably not suitable for teenagers, young children would enjoy it. Looking forward to relaxing in this beautiful wooded, secluded well protected camp site ....

This is an excellent site with all amenities to hand any camper would wish for.

This is an excellent site with all amenities to hand any camper would wish for. The location is ideal for touring Dorset however the A35 is very close to the site so light sleepers be warned to try for other end of site. We spent six nights at the site and on two nights it was booked solid but despite the numbers of holiday makers the facilities coped well and were always very clean. Note there are two toilet blocks: one older with adequate showers etc but the newer block is very modern, large open style with continental type facilities. The ground staff were always around to maintain the gardens and pitches. Although a site for mainly older people we did have families joining us in the camping field. Luckily although the site is promoted as dog friendly we did not experience many four legged friends during our visit. We are dog lovers but unfortunately not fond of irresponsible dog owners. Overall the camp site was very good but the reception staff could have been more friendly but hey we all have off days...
