The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

Very warm welcome after an overnight drive from Scotland and we're lucky to get a pitch in the Paddock area. Great site to explore south Devon/ Dorset area. Wasn't keen on the weekend choppy but the Tuesday choppy was better. Facilities were great - modern and very clean.

Great family site although there were many couples and ages there.

Great family site although there were many couples and ages there. The site is welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful and there's a great reception building with shop. The site is extremely well maintained and attractive and the hard standing pitches are the biggest I've seen. Well located for various beaches and towns. Go fossil hunting on Charmouth beach, Lyme Regis is just up the road and places such as the Tank Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are not too far away. Just bear in mind that a thirty mile journey can take a good hour in peak season due to the traffic and roads. Locally Forde Abbey is well worth a visit, the gardens are fantastic. I found a fantastic 'off the lead' dog walk 3 miles from the site at Lambert's Castle which is the remains of an Iron Age hill fort with amazing views right down to Portland. The kids want to go back but we usually never go back to the same place. However, I'm tempted...

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the site is lovely. The grounds are all very well maintained and the facilities are excellent. Although we didn't use it, the dog walk (or fairy walk) looked lovely with its twinkly lights. We will be back.
