    Top site for walking

The Purbeck Hills, award winning beaches and a castle make this a popular family site.

Our Club campsite at Corfe Castle lies at the foot of the Purbeck Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – an area known for its walking and wildlife – and is close to the Blue Flag award-winning Studland and Swanage beaches.

Our family-friendly campsite offers a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches, some of pitches are under trees. There’s an on-site shop with fresh bread and newspapers delivered daily, a family shower room and wet room for disabled visitors.

There are plenty of walking opportunities straight from the site. A leisurely 15-minute walk, for instance, finds you at Corfe Castle, a stunning ruin from the English Civil War whose iconic silhouette can be seen from miles around. The pretty grey stone village of Corfe Castle lies in the shadow of the romantic castle ruins. Around its square is a cluster of tearooms, trinket shops and pubs.

Studland beach – a glorious four mile stretch of golden sand – and Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coast are within easy reach.

Please use the downloadable map available here, rather than satnav to ensure you access the site via A351.

Motorhomes must be booked onto hardstandings.

Corfe Castle currently holds an AA 4 Pennant Award.

We have a toddler who can be a bit boisterous in the main shower cubicles. As such we prefer to all use the family shower rooms available on most sites. For some (annoying) reason, the family shower room was effectively unavailable for 4 out of 5 mornings. Most sites take a deposit and hand out a key, not this one. So if you are a family with young children ensure you ask for access to the family shower room for the ENTIRETY of your stay.

We went to Corfe Castle and the welcome from Pam and Malcolm was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. We met Lisa and Mark and they were great too. Facilities were clean and well looked after. We had some fantastic days out at Weymouth and Farmer Palmers farm for the kids. We also went to Lulworth cove which is also a lovely drive around the hills and the views are amazing. I recommend anyone to go this site we would go back and visit again.

Mixed experience: Beautiful wooded site with owls, butterflies, kids play area past patch of wet mud Very few good tent pitches due to slopes and hard standing on most flat areas. Site more focused on older caravan couples than campers or families I spent 10 mins clearing sticks and branches from our pitch when we arrived. No prep done before we got there. First pitch offered on a steep slope! Family showers locked 5 out of 6 days. No answer when rang on bell to ask for them to be unlocked Adult showers cramped, shower jet too powerful and no water temp controls. Only time our son cried was when he had to have a shower with me in adult cubicle. Water too hot and powerful. Needs shelves in showers to put shampoo etc Needs hooks/ shelves in toilet blocks for coats/ bags etc when using the facilities Needs better mop/ bucket to clean showers after use: debris stuck to mop made floor worse after cleaning Charging ?4 for bird food seems steep All tourist information leaflets are for 2015 season and need to be updated Weather report was for previous week Washer and dryer large and clean. The evening we wanted to use them, site clothes left in washer for 2 hours. Eventually we removed them, did our wash and put them back in. Total cost of 1 load wash and dry was ?7. Took 80 mins to dry clothes on max heat setting. Seems very expensive
