Just back from a night at Cashel. The weather was glorious and we had a fantastic time. The managers (who were extremely friendly and helpful) apparently just started at the beginning of the season, which explains why I didn't experience issues with cleanliness of the toilet block or their general approach. Loved it, everything was very laid back and simple and we had a great time.

Of all the sites we have visited, this is the first that we would not return too.

Of all the sites we have visited, this is the first that we would not return too. On arrival, although the staff were polite, they were not particularly helpful or welcoming. You are told to choose a pitch, however, there is no way of knowing if a pitch is free, or has already been allocated to a motor home. When you have chosen, you have to trudge back and forth to reception to see if the pitch is actually free. (Despite being the only arrials at the time, the receptionist acted as though she'd never seen me before each time I went back to check for the pitch, asking me to confirm my details each time, would have been comical if it hadn't been so frustrating). There is a long list of rules, which you are reminded of regularly. There are signs on every available wall space. Despite stating they are dog friendly, I would suggest that dog tolerant would be more accurate. Dogs are not to be exercised on site, nor are there any dog bins if by chance your dog "performs" on site. There is a very small playground for children. My children were bored within minutes on there, and despite being school holidays, there were few children around for them to play with. We paid for a premium pitch, which was directly on the edge of the loch and had its own picnic bench. It was a beautiful spot, so much so that we regularly had other guests using our pitch, even setting up a bbq on it at on point!! The location is absolutely stunning and the facilities were well kept (although the road was a little hairy if you're towing). However this site didn't live up to our expectations.
