Overview

  • Campsites next to or within walking distance of a beach

    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 90 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can see puffins, seal pups and dolphins.

Worth Noting

Most pitches have sea views and there is a large picnic area overlooking the coast. There is a large Sunday market/car boot sale every week at East Fortune ten miles from the site.

WiFi

The WiFi service is excellent throughout the campsite. Prices.

Eat Local

Belhaven Fruit Farm is four miles from site, and Dunbar High Street consists of almost entirely independent shops including numerous cafés, an organic greengrocer, community bakery, and a wet fish shop.

Dunbar is one of our short hop destinations as we live in Fife. It's a cracking site bang on the coast, and easy walk to the town around the golf course. ??????????We arrived late, and had an electrical issue. The assistant SM dropped everything despite being on his downtime and in the pouring rain to help. He was even very courteous to me when we discovered the issue lay with our new unit, not the site bollard. ??Booking was an issue online. No problem, one phone call and it was sorted. We were with friends who had their first ever outing in an MH. Great site to show newbies the ropes, and our friends joined the club. Keep up the great work to all at Dunbar. Thankyou??????????

My first stay at a club site and was very impressed with friendliness of other campers /caravanners .I loved the view over the sea from the site .The washing up facilities were a real bonus - clean with really hot water . White Sands bay and surrounding countryside being managed for wildlife was amazing - such an extensive area . Doon Hill archaelogical site about 2 miles away worth a visit - site of 6000 year old buildings. The only downside was the wait for female showers in the morning but adapted by going 7.30 ish am or in the evening . I realise this is peak season and site was full but given the new build I would have added another 2 or 4 showers . I loved the site and hope to return in September .
