Adjacent to the beach, Normans Bay site is a haven for walkers and nature lovers.

Please note that the play area will be out of use between 10/05/2016 and 25/05/16 due to a new play area being installed.

On the East Sussex coast, our Normans Bay Club campsite is perfect for family camping holidays. Opposite is a sand and shingle beach - ideal for sandcastles, kite flying and bathing. The popular seaside resorts of Eastbourne and Brighton are to the west and Bexhill-on-Sea to the east.

The open and level site has 200 pitches and three amenity blocks. Facilities include washing machines, a parent and child room, children’s play area and recreation hall. There is also a well-stocked site shop.

The nearby Pevensey Levels, known for nature conservation and agriculture, will satisfy nature lovers. For walkers, the South Downs Way (pick it up at the Seven Sisters Country Park) is a great way to see the stunning East Sussex countryside.

The area is steeped in history - the Normans landed here in 1066. Join the 1006 Way which takes you around Battle, Hastings and Pevensey Castle, one of Britain’s oldest strongholds, to discover some of this history.

Eastbourne, five miles south west of the campsite, offers a plethora of things to see and do. There are parks and gardens, the Sovereign Marina with a host of shops, craft outlets and eating places and several beaches offering safe bathing and a variety of water-based activities.

Other attractions in the area include the magnificent moated Herstmonceux Castle, Drusillas Park and Charleston Manor.

Worth Noting

The site is next to a dog-friendly beach, where fishing is available.

Ball games and kite flying are not permitted on site, however the adjacent beach is a perfect spot for these activities.

nice open site although just off beach reasonably sheltered behind dunes road in a bit of a mare pothole wise no need for the pathetic speed humps . staff very friendly and helpful and always a good morning or hiya from all ,very clean and well maintained would recommend to anyone although dont think we will be coming again m25 a nightmare travel overnight a must if you are doing a long journey for us a 500 mile round trip but all in all very nice weather was kind and very warm the only downside not a lot on site if you have children and the beach is very hard going our labrador hated walking on the stones making her feet sore plus got very rammed over the bank holiday with no seperate area for tents did feel a bit intimidated by that a bit close for comfort but all in all a nice site

Love this site and we have been many times.

Love this site and we have been many times. Facilities are good and the beach is a stone throw away. Eastbourne town centre is a 10 min drive away. You can also walk / drive 2 miles to Pevensey Bay for shops, pubs and fast food. Only downside this trip was the amount of people who the campsite rules don't apply too. The site says no ball games, kites or frisbees yet every evening we had to listen to kids booting a football against the toilet block. We also had cricket being played in front of us. Fed up with having our tent hit by balls. People pay a lot of money for caravans and sone tents and do not want them damaged by balls, hence why the no balls rule. How about walking over to the beach to play ? Or maybe, the parents can't tear themselves away from their cans of beer !! I think the wardens need to be stricter enforcing these rules. My other gripe was 5 tents and a motorhome all with accompanying cars on 3 pitches which made access on and off our pitch difficult . The six metre rule should be enforced. Will we return ? Yes, but not on a bank holiday

We originally were staying for 2 days and then extended our stay because it was a lovely, friendly site . We asked to be near the toilets as we had my mum with us who is semi disabled and that was not a problem . The wifi was not good , that was dissapointing especially as I had paid for that and still couldn't get it!! But that is the only thing I can fault the site on. We traveled to Folkestone and were not impressed at all . It looks really unkept , I wouldn't visit again . We also went to Eastbourne and a complete contrast it was really lovely . I would definitely go back there again. Thankyou to all the staff at Normans bay .
