Enjoy the tranquillity of the Snowdonia National Park from this peaceful rural site.

Our Bala Club campsite boasts an idyllic rural location just outside the eastern boundary of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and six miles north of the lake after which it is named. Surrounded by amazing scenery, Bala campsite is the ideal base for exploring the attractions of north Wales.

The pretty and secluded 50 pitch site is level and well maintained with a good range of facilities including toilets, showers, laundry, a small children’s play area and a small dog walk. A short drive away, the town of Bala offer a variety of shops, a petrol station and places to eat. Sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and fishing are all possible on Bala Lake and there are good walks and cycle routes from here too. Bala Lake Railway and the Ffestiniog Railways are great ways to take in the local scenery.

Less than an hour’s drive from Bala campsite is Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak. Scale its heights on foot or catch the train to the summit.

Local resorts with good sandy beaches include Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Harlech, Barmouth Fairbourne and Aberdovey.

This site is ideal for those people who travel to North Wales for outdoor activities (walking, climbing, mountain biking, etc). Snowdon (Pen y Pass area) is just shy of an hours drive away. The information and advice provided by the staff was very useful and welcome. I particularly liked the MWIS (Mountain Weather Information Service) forecasts posted at the shop. The Brytirion Arms is a must, as is the Bryn Bala meal on the menu. The lanlord is a character and very friendly!

It is so great to arrive after several hours driving to have a friendly welcome and feel instantly at home. Pretty hanging baskets and tubs by reception showed it was cared for. The pitches were nearly all dead level, more important in a tent. The toilet and shower block were not only clean but they smelled clean as you walked in. We had variable weather, but the whole stay was lovely, and we would thoroughly recommend this site.

This is a lovely little site, the staff are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we had originally booked the wrong size pitch, the staff were very helpful and moved us to a larger pitch which was perfect. The small shop has all your essentials. The showers and toilets are very clean and the gardens are well kept. I would definitely recommend this for a peaceful weekend. Bala lake is not far to drive, my 6 year old son loved swimming in it. I would definitely go back :)

As newbies to caravanning (used to canvas only!), we went to Bala on our "inaugural" journey.

As newbies to caravanning (used to canvas only!), we went to Bala on our "inaugural" journey. We were warmly greeted by the staff who helped us with the dreaded unhitching of the van. The site was spotless as were the facilities. Really peaceful location despite a mixture of families and couples. Although the site was relatively full, it felt as though there was plenty of space and we weren't shoehorned in as I have seen at other sites. They are very "dog-friendly" with a small area cordoned off for the pooches to roam off the lead...a shame it's not a little bigger however they deserve the 5 stars I have given them. We will be back soon. Thanks for a great initiation into our caravanning adventures.
