A beautiful campsite location on the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales.
Our Llanystumdwy Club campsite in North West Wales is located between mountains and sea in an area of natural beauty. Its position makes it ideal for exploring both the Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdonia National Park – both great walking areas.
Lovely views extend over the rolling countryside from the campsite which is bordered by tree and dry stone walls. The site boasts 70 pitches – many sloping – spread out over a large field. Facilities are clean tidy and include toilets, showers, a laundry and dog walk.
It’s a short walk to the village of Llanystumdwy. Here you’ll find a pub serving home-cooked food and a museum dedicated to Lloyd George who lived in the village until the age of 16.
Criccieth to the east of the campsite has a castle and plenty of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. It also has a long esplanade along the seafront and a sandy beach. Further on Porthmadog is the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. It’s also home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh High Railways. Jump on a train at either end of the town, enjoy the mountain scenery.
Caernarfon, Portmadog, Pwhelli and Port Merrion are all easily accessible by either bus, car or train from the campsite.
Please note that the majority of pitches are sloping and chocks will be required. Club Service Pitches are only 10amp.
100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

The advantages of the main road location far outweigh the impact of a little road noise if you are visiting this area for the first time. We had minimal travelling time to Snowdon, Port Meirion, Lleyn peninsula, Harlech Castle.
Wardens are doing a great job, welcoming, friendly, helpful and keeping the site and facilities in great order.
Local pub within easy walking distance run by Cath and Ian was a good place for a drink.
Recommend the chippy in nearby Cricceith.

This is a very useful site for touring the Llyn peninsular with great beaches not far away. Criccieth is within walking distance and the rest of the peninsular within easy reach.
The site is "functional" in that it provides a base for touring. The facilities are just about adequate (we were there at a quiet time - so no queuing). I suspect there could be problems when the site is busy. The toilets/showers are really in need of a makeover.
Much of the site slopes quite steeply so blocks/ramps are needed. However, there is a plentiful supply of blocks and bricks available.
Wardens were very friendly and welcoming.
An excellent site for short breaks.
