Top site for beaches
Explore the beauty of England's south coast from our campsite.
With cycling and walking trails in abundance, miles of sandy beaches, bustling towns, pretty chocolate box villages and a host of family attractions within a short distance our Chichester Club Campsite offers something for everyone.
Chichester is a small, welcoming campsite. Once an orchard it has a relaxing ambience and is an ideal setting for kicking back and relaxing after a hectic day exploring the area.
Head across the road on foot or two wheels to enjoy the paths to the coast and Chichester harbour. Or catch a bus from outside the site to Chichester (great for shopping), Bognor, Littlehampton and Brighton in one direction and Southampton and Portsmouth (with the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard) in the other.
For a bucket and space day head to the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering where you’ll find sand dunes, sheltered waters and acres of space. East Head and Selsey too are great for lazy beach days.
Electric security barriers in operation. Please note there is no parking for visitors and, because of the narrow entrance road, there are no overnight parking facilities.
100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.
Chichester hosts a farmers' market twice a month. Southbourne farm shop near to site sells a range of local products and the Tupenny Barn sells organic fruit and vegetables.

We've always found Club sites to be excellent; this one wasn't, and we'll try elsewhere in future.
The short approach drive had so many deep potholes that, even when we drove so slowly as to need to slip the clutch, we still feared that the contents of our cupboards would be thrown out.
We had expected to arrive "about 1 o'clock". We had a long hectic journey through stormy rain, which sometimes limited the motorway to 40 mph, and when we arrived at about 3:30 were sharply told off for being late (no "hello" or "welcome" involved!). And then told off for arriving with two people when "you've booked for only one". (We had, of course, booked for two, as the lady manager was able to show, when she came along and brought up our booking on the screen.)
When we were shown the pitch, we were given odd hand-signals to direct our manoeuvring. (I would take a frenetic anticlockwise hand movement to mean "turn much more to the left"; apparently, it meant "continue backwards". I'd prefer to be shown quite where to pitch up, and then treated as if able to drive.)
The site is long and thin, and one "thin" end abuts a main road, which would make it noisy there, though pitches farther into the site will be better.
The showers are odd, in that you must go outside again and round the corner to get from the loos to the showers. They were a little dated but all very clean, spacious and provided with plentiful hot water at perfect temperature.

The toilet block is 5 Star Although we did find it strange that the showers were in a different part of the building.

Unfortunately the site shows signs (like Norwich) of serious under-investment over a long period. So the shower/toilet block facilities are dated and below the best modern standards. The Club seems to have a difficulty with small sites (say below 60 pitches) in deciding what to do with them - so sub-standard facilities are left unchanged. This is a shame because both Chichester and Norwich have nice positions. But you come away at the end of a holiday thinking that you wouldn't want to go back.

This review is for Chichester
This is a lovely site, bit of road noise one end & train noise the other end, but sandwiched between a main road & rail line can't expect otherwise. I hope during the close season the shower timers can be sorted out,you get about 15seconds of shower & then you have to keep pressing the button every 15secs-surely the timer can be set to give, say, a minute at a time?
Gripe over! We will definitely be back next year-Ted loved the walks down to the marina
