This campsite is just to the north of England's capital in the home county of Hertfordshire, with the bright lights of London in easy reach.
The secluded, woodland setting of our Theobalds Park Club campsite belies its location just inside London’s orbital M25 motorway. Although just off the M25 the campsite is in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. The nearby Lee Valley Park will appeal to nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and fishermen. While further west woodland, grassland, heath, rivers and ponds make up the vast expanse of Epping Forest, the largest public open space in the London area.
This well laid out, level campsite offers open camping areas and a choice of grass and hard stand pitches. Modern facilities, a children’s play area and dog walk service the needs of all types of camper.
At just 15 miles from the capital this campsite is an excellent base from which to explore London. Catch a train from Waltham Cross to enjoy the city’s fantastic shopping, varied eateries and bars and landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Olympic Park and more.
If you'd like to go glamping then Theobalds Park Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

My wife and I had entered the Victoria Park Santa Run and Theobalds Park was ideally situated, being a shortish drive in the motorhome from home and close to the London Overground at Theobolds Grove (parking all day on Sundays for 1.30).
The site is spacious, being both well equipped, well maintained and scrupulously clean.
The staff were pleasant and ready to offer help if required.
We would certainly recommend Theobalds Park to others and would return without hesitation.

I visited late in the year. The site staff seemed friendly at first. They are as long as you do not question anything. I am easy going. I do not wish to upset people. However, during my stay I was plagued by dog poo outside my caravan. By day three I called the office. They told me it was not their concern. I was shocked. Later during my stay the manager told me off for parking in the wrong place on the site. He did not tell me but instead shouted it across the whole park. I have no idea what is going on in this site. I only notice things like I can never get through to the site office. Always an answerphone. At 10am I expect a voice. I also noticed that the colour of the water coming out of one of the site laps was tinged with brown. So I bought bottled water instead. I suggest you do also. I think that the site has real potential but when I visited my stay was marred by the management. I shall not go back there.
