Overview

This campsite is just to the north of England's capital in the home county of Hertfordshire, with the bright lights of London in easy reach.

  • Half an hour train journey to London
  • Surrouded by 14 acres of woodland
  • Nearby Lee Valley Park

The surrounding area

The secluded, woodland setting of our Theobalds Park Club campsite belies its location just inside London’s orbital M25 motorway. Although just off the M25 the campsite is in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. The nearby Lee Valley Park will appeal to nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and fishermen. While further west woodland, grassland, heath, rivers and ponds make up the vast expanse of Epping Forest, the largest public open space in the London area.

At just 15 miles from the capital this campsite is an excellent base from which to explore London. Catch a train from Waltham Cross to enjoy the city’s fantastic shopping, varied eateries and bars and landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Olympic Park and more.

Not the sites fault; but we wouldn't recommend the Pied Bull for a meal.

Did have an excellent shower block not seen as good except at CC sites.

Did have an excellent shower block not seen as good except at CC sites. Some using facilities did not respect common cleanliness. Had kids playing football with dad when site rules stated 'no ball games', very loud music from 1 van until after 11pm.
