    Top site for fishing

Loch Ness Shores are looking forward to welcoming you.

Scotland’s most famous loch is the stunning backdrop for the Club’s new campsite in the Scottish Highlands. The aptly-named Loch Ness Shores Club campsite is located on the quieter south shore near the village of Foyers.

This 99 pitch, all-year-round campsite enjoys panoramic views around Loch Ness to the mountains beyond and is the perfect base for exploring the area’s historic sites like the magnificent Urquhart Castle, the charming towns and villages of Fort Augustus, Cannich and Drumnadrochit, or for getting active whether it be on foot, bike or boat.

The site itself has excellent eco credentials, including using innovative green technologies to heat and light the top notch facilities which include an amenity block with under floor heating and home from home shower rooms, an on-site shop and wi-fi. Boats (suitable for fishing) and canoes are available to hire on site.

Loch Ness Shores also offers the opportunity to go glamping in one of its eight luxury wooden wigwam cabins, all boasting comfy caravan-style beds. These stylish wigwam cabins are a first for the Club Site network, with four comfortably accommodating up to five, the other four, two adults and two children.

Wigwam® Cabins available:

4 Wee Brave Wigwam® Cabins, £50 per night in low and mid seasons, £55 per night in high season (2 adults + 2 children)

4 Big Chief Wigwam® Cabins, £60 per night in low and mid seasons, £65 per night in high season (up to 5 people).

Nice site and nice location however I dont understand why I was charged for electric hook-up...

Nice site and nice location however I dont understand why I was charged for electric hook-up when I had no hook-up facility in the van. I cannot use and did not require hook-up but reception said they were not permitted to give me a no hook-up option. I also feel they could have more male toilet cubicles for the size of the site.

This camp is the owners pride and joy which shows in the immaculate way it is kept. It is relaxed, friendly and if you don't feel energetic you can just sit and watch the birds at the bird feeders. The pub is a 15 minute walk away up a steep hill which gives spectacular views over Loch Ness and the surrounding countryside. If you feel energetic you can climb to The Falls of Foyers or take a kayak on the Loch.

Further to the above, I start by saying I am not normally one to complain.

Further to the above, I start by saying I am not normally one to complain. Yes the staff were very nice (call prior to see if booking was required and then on arrival). The airstream diner food was very good and the site was clean and tidy. This was a birthday weekend for my partner so the photos looked good. I have never encountered a two pm arrival time before. As we live fairly local, 40 miles away, we had to fill in the day till 2pm. On arrival, based on the photos, we booked and paid for two nights .... my mistake, I know. On arrival, the available pitches had gone and ones left had no view of the Loch whatsoever. In other words, I found the ariel photos very misleading. Views are a big thing for us .... The second issue was the toilet block looks big but, in reality, are too small we think for the amount of guests that were there. In the gents, there were 2 loos, four showers and a family showers room. When I got to the shower in the morning at 9am, there was a q of three men waiting for loo and three more waiting for the shower (which is big wet room with a loo too). I thought it a bit further to walk to the loo than usual but we were at the back of the hardstandings. The q thing and the lack of view are the two reasons we decided to leave in the morning and loose the second nights money ..... We went to Fortrose just the other side of Inverness and paid ?20 for the night (instead of the ?24 we lost at Shores) ... low season too ?
