Our Club Site on the beautiful Isle of Skye

Head to Loch Greshornish on the beautiful Isle of Skye and you’ll find our Skye Club campsite. It boasts an idyllic location right on the loch shore where campers enjoy stunning views over the water to the hills beyond.

The campsite is on a working croft. Magnificent Highland cattle and sheep graze close by and you can buy fresh laid duck and hen eggs at the site shop along with most essentials. There are hardstandings for caravanners and motorhomers with plenty of these pitches enjoying the views. You can go glamping at Skye campsite too. Two camping pods provide cosy accommodation for those who perhaps fancy leaving their own units at home.

A visit to Dunvegan Castle on the Isle’s west coast is a must. It sits on a rocky outcrop betwixt sea and manicured gardens. Seal spotting boat trips operate from the castle jetty. Not far from the castle Caligan Coral beach is a fantastic place to spend the day. Portree is the main town on Skye, set round a harbour you’ll find the Aros Centre. As well as theatre, films and concerts it’s here you’ll find out more about the Isle through a series of exhibitions.

To catch a glimpse of the sea eagles catch a boat from the harbour.

Only go here if you like walking or staying in your van all the time toilets have apparently won loo of the year awards Personally I dont know how disabled door sticks (hard to open ) if inside and it sticks I pushed on coat hanger it nearly went through the door ! If you went in main toilets the water pressure was really really low clean but not luxury ! Everytime you want to go out you first have to get out open the barrier then re close it oh and they lock it at 11 pm ! Stayed here twice never again paid for wifi didnt work also went in phone box there was a little mouse in it I wasnt bothered some people may of jumped and ran off !

This site is just what we wanted, small and personal, with great staff who made every effort to help and make the stay special. We were lucky enough to get a waterside pitch and on the very first evening we saw the resident sea otter. He didn't make much of an appearance on the other nights but it didn't stop us spending our evenings doing "otterwatch". The predicted midges weren't too much of a problem, possibly because it rained a lot. There's a walking route, or a short drive, to the Edinbane Inn which is well worth a visit, but be sure to book. In fact that is true of everywhere as Skye is crazily busy in the summer months, but drive off the main route, and go to places early or late in the day and it's well worth the trip.

A beautiful little site ran by very friendly, helpful staff.

A beautiful little site ran by very friendly, helpful staff. Nice modern toilet and shower blocks that were always immaculate. Its a fair trek away from shops and phone reception is non existent, but in a way that makes it even more special! We found Skye to be extremely busy, so this little site was perfect being out of the way!

This is for the nice couple who run this site.

This review is for Skye

This is for the nice couple who run this site. Unfortunately because of stupid meddling by a politician, your MSP Alisdair Allan we will not be returning to your site. This useless article want to put a levy on motorhomes visiting Skye. Then there is the other useless politico John Mason who says the island is not an island. See the problems you have. A great pity because we loved the site the last time we stayed there.
