You’ll find our Adgestone Club campsite in a quiet countryside setting on the beautiful Isle of Wight close to the popular Sandown resort.

Although a large site – 270 pitches – the site is very well laid out with some secluded pitches and is orientated towards families. Adgestone is the only Club Site with a swimming pool (which will be open and heated from June 1st) and a children’s paddling pool. In addition to the usual toilet/shower facilities, the site also boasts two children’s play areas – one for younger campers and another more extensive area for older children as well as table tennis, boules, outdoor chess and giant jenga. There’s also a shop and takeaway on site and a private fishing pool stocked with carp.

There numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the campsite. Beach lovers are spoilt for choice with the seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Cowes and Ryde all close by. For days out Dinosaur Isle, Shanklin Chine, the Needles and Blackgang Chine shouldn’t be missed.

Adgestone Vineyard, overlooking Brading Down – itself worth exploring for its spectacular views across Culver Down and Sandown Bay - offers tours of its wine cellars and tastings. Its café serves excellent cream teas too.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite.

Excellent for dogs that like a good run as there is a footpath adjacent to the site that leads to open countryside very close by. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Handy shop on site that offers cooked breakfasts and take away meals. Shower facilities will benefit from updating although they were fully functional and clean. We will be back!

The road surfaces on the Isle of Wight are pretty rubbish on the whole island. Access to this campsite prob isn't the easiest for massive caravans or trailers, but we had no issue what so ever in our Mondeo. Friendly welcome. Woken up by some banging on the first morning through building something?! But wasn't noisey apart from that. Very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Had no issue and would recommend the campsite to anyone. Secluded yet close to everything.

This camp in in easy reach of most of the things the IOW is famous not just the touristy bits although they make a good visit. Local farm shops are useful to for fresh produce as is the local shops. There is a good choice of restaurants on the island serving great food and good value. Exploring the island by bicycle is a great way to see places you would not see driving around. Making a daily to visit plan is a great way of seeing all you want to in the time you spend on the island, What you miss you can see next time you visit as you will want to go again. In inclement weather there is much to do Dancing Waters is a fascinating place to spend time as is the Garlic farm with all it's history. There are a couple of wineries to see with excellent cafes. On the way over on the car ferry or the ferry terminus pick up a booklet now produced you will see all the attractions for your visit with "how to get there" guide really useful
