Camping on the Isle of Wight – perfect for relaxing on this tiny island, just a short ferry trip from the England’s south coast.
You’ll find our Adgestone Club campsite in a quiet countryside setting on the beautiful Isle of Wight close to the popular Sandown resort.
Although a large site – 270 pitches – the site is very well laid out with some secluded pitches and is orientated towards families. Adgestone is the only Club Site with a swimming pool (which will be open and heated from June 1st until the first week in September) and a children’s paddling pool. In addition to the usual toilet/shower facilities, the site also boasts two children’s play areas – one for younger campers and another more extensive area for older children as well as table tennis, boules, outdoor chess and giant jenga. There’s also a shop and takeaway on site and a private fishing pool stocked with carp.
There numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the campsite. Beach lovers are spoilt for choice with the seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Cowes and Ryde all close by. For days out Dinosaur Isle, Shanklin Chine, the Needles and Blackgang Chine shouldn’t be missed.
Adgestone Vineyard, overlooking Brading Down – itself worth exploring for its spectacular views across Culver Down and Sandown Bay - offers tours of its wine cellars and tastings. Its café serves excellent cream teas too.
Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).
Wightlink Ferries offer great discounts to all Club members. There are also discounts available to non-members when booking a stay at our Adgestone campsite

I have recently returned from a short stay
here and what a pleasure it was to be in
such a relaxing environment. The site is
very well maintained and complimented
with wonderful displays of flowers and
and plants. The friendly and helpful
wardens and assistants carried out their
duties in an efficient and professional
manner and are a credit to the C&CC.
The site is situated in a quiet and rural
location although only a 15 minute drive
to the coastal resort of Sandown it is
also ideally placed for touring the whole
island. I look forward to a return visit in

We love this site and the Site Managers and team are very welcoming, supportive and go out of their way to make your stay memorable.
There are many walks in the area from the site and if you wish to venture further the Island offers lots of interesting things to do whether it is walking, cycling, visiting attractions, etc. This visit we discovered Newtown Nature Reserve and Firestone Copse near Fishbourne - both worth a visit. There are plenty of restaurants in the area with supermarkets at Sandown - Morrisons and Tesco Extra at Ryde. The cafe at the Garden Centre near Sandown is well worth a visit (very reasonable prices), and the family owned inns - Bugle Inn, Brading and Buddle Inn, Niton. In both places our dog was made to feel welcome.
We look forward to returning to the Island and the site.

We booked the week after visiting the Motorhome show locally. It offered the chance to share a great time with our grandchildren (aged 7 and 5). The Readycamp tent was really comfortable, roomy and well equipped, including a heater. The family were settled in within minutes and the children were out making friends! The site facilities were good and safe, allowing the children to play and swim. The site is lovely with nature walks around and traditional seaside attractions for all tastes. The showers could do with a a bit of an upgrade, but perfectly clean and adequate. We can't praise the staff highly enough for their help and friendliness. Ferry booking needs to be done early if you want choice. We used the Portsmouth to Fishbourne ferry and found it very easy. The attractions we visited included The Steam Railway, Dinosaur Isle, Shanklin and Blackgang Chine, all of which were a hit with the children (and within 30 minutes travel time).
Thanks to all.
