Overview

You will find a real taste of the Scottish Highlands in this area of castles, distilleries and beautiful scenery.

Walks, wildlife and whisky are all in abundance in the area surrounding our beautiful Speyside Club campsite. The campsite enjoys a rural position between the fabulous Moray coast and the Cairngorms Mountain range. Set on a gentle south-facing slope and surrounded by trees, Speyside campsite will appeal to those looking for a peaceful and relaxing base for their exploration of the area.

Views extend over the surrounding countryside and trees and hedges dot the site giving some areas a more secluded feel. Facilities include a laundry, children’s play area and a dog walk.

If you enjoy a wee dram of Scotland’s famous tipple, you’re in luck. The area surrounding the campsite boasts some 50 whisky distilleries, including the world-famous Macallan Distillery. Most offer tours and there are whisky festivals in May and September.

For walkers, the 84-mile Speyside Way connects the moray coast with the Grampian mountains and passes close to the campsite.

As well as being handy for the coast of Moray Firth, Elgin, Buckie, Forres, Nairn, Fochabers and Spey bay are all within easy reach. At Spey Bay you’ll find the Scottish Dolphin Centre where you can enjoy dolphin spotting or take a walk along the mouth of the River Spey.

Stayed two nights at beginning of season.

Stayed two nights at beginning of season. Loved the location, with very convenient dog walk from the site. New wardens this year, and site manager is very keen and experience and I imagine will be improving the standard of this site. Quiet but easy to get to.

This is a lovely small site with a cracking dog walk set in charming countryside. Wardens were great, busy opening site for the season and getting things tidied up. Lots to see and do locally, from distilleries and castles to great walks along the Spey Way. The local village of Aberlour has some nice shoos and restaurants. Wildlife abounds with red deer, hares, golden eagles, ospreys and red squirrels in the countryside around the site.
