Top site for beaches
Enjoy coast and countryside from this popular north Norfolk site near Cromer.
You can get a feel for the beautiful and varied Norfolk coast and countryside from our Club campsite at West Runton.
Our pretty and spacious campsite commands a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name. Trees surround this beautifully maintained site. Facilities include roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry and washing up area and a lovely dog walk.
Just a short walk from the campsite brings you to the quaint fishing village of West Runton. Its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing while the plentiful rock pools are waiting to be explored.
For more sandy beaches, piers and promenades Sheringham, Cromer (both within walking distance of the campsite) and Caister-on-Sea tick the boxes.
A mile south of West Runton, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft and you’ll be rewarded with views over the countryside and coast.
For nature lovers Blakeney Point is a must. This mix of dune, marsh and shingle is home to seals and a variety of birds. Catch a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them. There are more animals to be seen at the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre close to the campsite.
Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we
welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not
permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

The main issue is uncontrolled children racing around on and off the road and around the units this will eventually lead to an accident with a moving vehicle or a damaged outfit and it's not if it's when.

This is our second time at West Runton, our 3rd camping trip of the year.
The site is fantastic with really helpful staff always willing to do that extra bit to help and keep the facilities spotless.
I would like to say a big thankyou to the staff for managing to meet our request for a pitch close to where we stopped in June,
my wife being disabled we needed a pitch close to the facilities and also close to the park.
They warned us it could not be guaranteed as this site is that popular, but it was great that they could help us out and make our stay a lot easier.
We are planning at going back next year and making it a regular trip, the surrounding area has it all with easy access to the beach even for wheelchair or mobility scooter users down at Wets Runton itself.
The kids are absolutely shattered after spending hours running around the brilliant park, the dogs are just as shattered from all the little walks accessible from our the site.
We are looking forward to going back again next year and so are the kids. We loved the togetherness of the people o the site,
this was shown to us by the very helpful people on the opposite and nextdoor pitches, when they had packed all their gear away they saw the heavens starting
to open and began to help us to take our tent down , very much appreciated.

Very pleasant and informative reception even at a very busy time of year. The site is well organised with good facilities for the children. Toilet blocks are well maintained.
despite being full the site did not give an 'overcrowded' feel. some pitches are sloping but ours was not excessively so.
Staff were very helpful at all times, which is especially commendable considering that they were under pressure due to the site being full.
The site is within easy reach of Cromer and Sheringham and there are some interesting walks from the site through the woods or to the coast.
The access road to the site is bumpy and narrow but not too much of an ordeal if taken carefully.
we thoroughly recommend this ste.

This was our first time camping with the club and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff were always friendly, polite and happy to help. The site and facilities were kept very clean and a constant presence of staff made you feel confident that if something needed attention it would get it straight away.
Our 3 year old son loved the fantastic play area which provided much needed entertainment for him.
West Runton itself is a short distance away and has some handy shops (one in particular being a camping accessory shop).
On one of our days we walked from the site to Cromer which took about 45 mins with a 3 year old wanting to walk the majority of it!
Also within walking distance is Sheringham where you can access the North Norfolk steam Railway (Poppy Line) which takes you to Holt.
Overall I would highly recommend this site. The only warning I would give is be aware that the site access is / could be, if towing, very tight due to a narrow pothole lane.
