Pitch up in the grounds of the secluded Sandringham Estate.

Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk. Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees.

Away from the site nature and RSPB reserves and the sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

The site is now fully digital and TV reception is good.

We really enjoyed our stay here even though it was just one night. The staff are helpful and friendly. The shower/toilet block was spotlessly clean and there is a well stocked shop for essentials. The local area is fantastic for easy walking with the restored Royal Station at Wolfreton a must see for a beautifully preserved slice of history. We will definitely visit again.

We would like to give a special thank you to Ian and Sean who lent us a space heater when our caravan heater failed on New Year's Eve. Thanks for your kindness it saved us from a very cold night.

Needing to escape from the family after Christmas we chose Sandringham as the site we would visit as we had never been there before. Easy to find within the forested Sandringham Park, we were given a warm welcome, and were shown to a pitch perfectly placed to withstand the wind and weather. A larger site than we anticipated, there were however three facilities blocks, and although the middle one was closed no one had far to walk to another. They were spotless at whatever time of day we visited them. A New Year's event was being planned within a marquee - we did buy raffle tickets but couldn't attend the event. We understand everyone had a good time. A stroll through the trees brings you to the Sandringham Tourist Centre where you can buy snacks/meals, souvenirs, plants or country clothing during the daytime, all year round. Sandringham House is over the way as is the church, but both of these have seasonal opening between March and October only. There are long and short walks, a sculpture trail and children's playground. Free parking in a multitude of car parks meant lots of people, but there was space for all. We travelled the short distance to Hunstanton and Wells-next-the -Sea by car but there are buses to Hunstanton and Kings Lynn. Cycling on Tarmac surfaces only is allowed in the Park. At all times the Wardens could not have been more helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated, including extending our stay when we didn't want to leave.
