Thetford Club campsite is surrounded by natural history & ideal for walkers & cyclists.

Sitting on the edge of Britain’s largest lowland pine forest, our Thetford Forest Club campsite is ideal for those looking to explore Norfolk’s towns and cities like Norwich and Bury St Edmunds, the Broads, or heading to coast for some traditional seaside fun at Great Yarmouth or the more peaceful Southwold.

While at your base at Thetford campsite you can be sure of a relaxed and comfortable stay. The tree-lined campsite is spacious, level and well laid out. Its 150 pitches are split over separate camping areas and the excellent facilities include a parent and child room, a children’s play area set within a fenced recreation field, a dog walk and you can fish for carp, tench and roach on the campsite’s fishing pond.

The local area is ideal for walking and cycling. The Peddars Way National Trail passes close to the campsite while the forest offers boundless opportunities for outdoor activity. The High Lodge Forest Centre has play equipment, sculpture trails and for teenagers there's Go Ape!

Other nearby attractions include Banham Zoo, home to some of the world’s most exotic, rare and endangered animals, BeWILDerwood, a quirky adventure park in Wroxham and Dinosaur Adventure with dinosaur trails, play areas and an animal encounter.

First time I`ve been to a club campsite.

First time I`ve been to a club campsite. Really impressed with the facilities and cleanliness of the site. I thought the onsite shop could perhaps stock a larger range of goods as there are no shops nearby. Will definitely book a longer stay next time I go.

Another great find! We went camping with our children 13, 11, 8 and 9 months and they loved it. There is a play area for children as well as a fishing pond, washer and dryer, little shop, lovely clean shower block as well as a couple in another toilet block, dressing cubicles, parent and baby room, dishwashing facility and it's surrounded by a forest. The staff here are fantastic and there are plenty of them, very helpful. Chippy van once a week at tea and we also saw a burger van one dinner time. Walkers would love exploring the surrounding area, there are lots of pubs to eat at and the town is about 6.5 miles away. For those parents like us, there is the fantastic Go Ape which is not very far away and very easy to find, you could easily spend a full day here. There are also boat trips to see seals in a very pretty little village. I would recommend this campsite as we went over the August bank holiday in a tent - this has got to be one of the busiest times to camp, but there were absolutely no problems at all, plenty of room on the pitch with adequate facilities to cope with a mass invasion!
