Pop down to the picturesque village of Mortehoe just a few minutes away and you won't go hungry. A cream Tea at The Town Farmhouse, or across the road Rockleigh Restaurant offers a lovely Fish stew(takeaway available) highly recommend.

Only a couple of points of which several other campers were commenting on 1.

Only a couple of points of which several other campers were commenting on 1. Lack of play area for children, not too much of a problem if you have more than 1 child as they will entertain each other on the recreation / grass field. One child has no area to mix with others which is a real shame 2. Lack of refuse / recycling collection points around the site, may seem a tedious issue but the walk from the bottom of the field is a chore and I am sure the recycling rates would improve should recycling and waste collection points be allocated at water collection points. Site wardens are on site at all tines buzzing about in their buggies, a small trailer behind them and few spare sacks for them to do changeovers would make such a difference. Other than the above this site is superb but the first point will stop us going back again.

We had a great time with beautiful weather and some lovely walks with breathtaking views. The coastal walks were sometimes steep so good walking boots and a lot of energy may be needed. The campsite was very clean and tidy with very friendly staff maintaining each pitch beautifully and happy to have a chat and give advice. Mortehoe has a nice pub called the Chichester Arms which serves good food. The campsite is gently sloping so good mobility would be beneficial if staying nearer the bottom of the site at the camping area. The site would benefit from an additional toilet facility nearer the camping end but apart from that everything was great.

I have visited this site in the past and continue to find that most aspects of facilities, pitches and upkeep of the site continue to be well maintained. The shower block is spacious although found the showers luke warm on most occasions. The views are particularly nice and the site is positioned well for visiting surrounding beaches & attractions by car on foot or by bike. I am a dog owner and there are 2 dog runs at the top and bottom of the site. When taking my dog on his lead for an early morning walk I bumped into one of the Site Wardens on the way to the dog run, who was also walking his dog. Within the space of 30 seconds I was advised that he was the site warden and ?kindly asked? to keep my dog under control, and to request that my dog should not pee on the pitch lane signs. I found this unnecessarily interfering and a little off-putting being quite honest as coming from a member of staff of the friendly club.
