A farm site with magnificent sea views

Fabulous sea views, amazing sunsets, award-winning beaches and excellent coastal walks - these are just some of the delights of our Damage Barton Club campsite. Close to the pretty cliff top village of Morthoe, Damage Barton campsite is set on a 600-acre beef and sheep farm and is perfectly located for exploring North Devon and Exmoor.

This attractive, well laid out campsite has spacious hardstand and grass pitches, two facility blocks, a laundry, washing up area, large dog walk and a good sized area for ball games and kite flying. The site also has a well-stocked shop selling local produce, pastries and fresh bread daily.

The lively village of Woolacombe is within walking distance of the campsite as are the delightful Lee Bay, Ilfracombe, Bull Point and Morte Point.

Long sweeps of golden sands at the family-friendly beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are perfect for soaking up the sun and watching the surfers in action, while inland Barnstaple offers a blend of high street and speciality shops, markets, bars and restaurants.

Originally booked a stay for 7 nights but extended to 10 as weather picked up. Good pitch almost level with water and waste on pitch which was great. Site staff lovely and friendly and extremely dedicated to keeping the site and pitches in excellent condition. Best stocked site shop we have come across with good wine at good prices. Main shower block fabulous and very clean ( small criticism) a couple of shower heads needed cleaning and didn't work on the flow change option. Excellent location lovely walks and beaches within surrounding area will definitely be back in the future.

Book via the CCC and get the age concession if it applies.. When approaching the site do not come up the hill from Morthoe / Woolacombe its very steep, narrow and served by buses. We had a nice welcome despite arriving without booking. I could not fault the site, it was immaculate. They even rake hard standings between customers - first time I have ever seen that! Evening sunsets are something else. 11 out of 10 .. thanks for a super site.

What an amazing site. Beautiful sea views.

What an amazing site. Beautiful sea views. Asked for a level pitch as still novices at Motorhoming and we were given what we thought was the best pitch on the site with an amazing sea view. Great walk to the cove and went swimming in the sea for the first time in years, a great beach for children. Nearest village Morthoe about 20 minutes walk down the lane and across the fields with 3 good pubs. Then a walk down the coastal path to the beach. Site very clean and great for dogs, staff very helpful and the best well stocked shop we have seen. Showers were amazing, the only criticism was if you were down the bottom of the field you were miles away from both shower blocks!! Otherwise a great site will definitely be back.

We booked in for 2 nights and 30 mins after arriving decided to extend our stay! This is a lovely site. Lots of space, level pitches with water on the pitch and views to die for. Excellent on site shop with wide range of essentials and treats. Fabulous fish and chips on Mondays, as good as any restaurant. Good facilities blocks with one always open when the other one is being cleaned. Easy bus by the gate to Ilfracombe which is well worth a visit. Day out on Lundy Island also recommended, need to book in advance though, certainly in school holidays. Pleasant walk via Mortehoe to Woolacombe with an excellent tea room in the village. Cycle trail into Ilfracombe is great going in, but a long steady climb coming back. We will be back, it's a great site. Thanks.
