    Top site for beaches

  • A popular site for families

    Great site for families

Enjoy wonderful Northern Irish hospitality in this beautifully situated campsite in County Down.

Mountains, coast and countryside are all accessible from our beautiful Club campsite at Delamont Country Park, in Northern Ireland.

Our campsite sits adjacent to the stunning Delamont Country Park in a peaceful, rural location. Bordered in part by trees Delamont is a level site offering Club Service Pitches, some now benefiting from the addition of hard standings. There is also a modern washblock and a small site shop.

The country park is ideal for stretching the legs. Walk up the hill to the Strangford Stone and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views over Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. In addition to the fantastic walking, the park is perfect for family picnics, barbecues and games with specially designated areas. You’ll also find Ireland’s only fresh-air gym, an outdoor adventure playground, miniature railway and heronry. The Lough itself is a birdwatchers paradise – see Brent Geese, Knot and Terns – and enjoy a lough-side walk.

Killyleagh just over a mile from the campsite is a pretty town with its own ‘fairytale’ castle and a selection of shops and restaurants. Belfast is also accessible from the campsite and, for a quieter day out, head to the beautiful Mourne Mountains in the south east or head to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast in County Antrim.

Book your ferry to Northern Ireland with the Club and save up to 10%.

Please note: There are no grass-only pitches at this campsite so an additional pitch fee applies. However, there is a small tent area with standard pitches, which can be booked by contacting the site.

Worth Noting

There is very limited car parking space for second cars or visitors - more parking is available in Delamont Country Park. Please be aware that some of the Hardstanding pitches on this site comprise of a grass covered reinforced plastic hardstanding.

We arranged to arrive at 8pm to a warm welcome from the team. Next day family and friends visited and nothing was too much trouble. All through our 13 nt stay they were fantastic. Site facilities are excellent and the Delamont Park is great for walks, cycling, adventure playground etc. Killyleagh is 10 mins by bike, 20 mins walk, with 2 great pub / restaurants, Nisa store etc., for all our needs. Turn left (south) out of the site and Downpatrick is only minutes away by car. Turn right (north) and it is a straight road through Comber to Belfast, (approx. 23 miles). It is easy to link up with the M1 heading west at Lisburn / Hillsbro' via Ballynahinch. All in all we found the site to be nicely 'out of town' yet easy access in various directions to loads of Northern Irelands' attractions.

We were welcomed very warmly on our first stay on this site and given a choice of pitches and advice re the sun's position etc. Toilets were very good indeed, clean, modern. Delamont Park itself was disappointing to us unless you are a walker - it has good walks with great views, and a miniature railway and cafe. The main house is run by an outdoor education authority with lively young people. We would return to the site again.
