Enjoy this quiet site in an area known for its beaches, birds and castles.

Stunning views, sweeping sandy beaches, abundant wildlife and a dramatic coastline steeped in history are all accessible from our Dunstan Hill Club campsite. Situated just a mile from the North Northumberland Heritage Coast, this rural campsite is a restful base from which to explore the popular ‘castle coast’.

The spacious, mainly level campsite is bordered by trees and offers a mix of hardstand and grass pitches. Facilities are clean and tidy and campers can expect toilets and showers, parent and baby room, a laundry and separate washing up area and a children’s play area.

A bonus is the pleasant woodland walk to the nearby beach and village of Craster – home of the kipper. Visit Dunstanburgh Castle north of here, the backdrop to the glorious, safe sandy expanse of Embleton Bay.

The imposing Bamburgh Castle overlooks the Farne Islands – the summer ‘home’ of more than 100,000 pairs of breeding seabirds and later in the year the islands become the pupping grounds to a colony of grey seals.

South of our Dunstan Hill campsite is Alnwick Castle, probably best known for its role as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Horticulture fans will love the gardens home to a giant holly serpent and some of the world’s most poisonous plants.

Beadnell Bay, a paradise for water sport lovers and Seahouses, a colourful fishing port are both worth visiting.

Worth Noting

Please note there is no space for ball games during busy periods. A fish and chip van visits twice a week.

Eat Local

Craster, home of the Craster kippers, is an hour's walk from the site, as is The Ship Inn in Newton, which serves beer from its own micro brewery.

This site is one of our favourites as its a real treat to stay in such a fab location surrounded by lovely countryside and little villages. The site is immaculate and the site team so friendly and welcoming as well as being so hard working to make the site stand out. Our 4 young children love the site with its small play area but just the freedom it allows for exploring. They didn't want to leave to visit nearby Alnwick etc as they were having so much fun with pals they met. The Northumberland area is fab and so friendly. Def be a regular. Only thing we didn't 5* was the fact both toilet blocks are not open all season but the fact we could use family facility was beneficial with four kids. Can't wait for our next trip and parents have already booked due to us raving bout the site.

All site staff very welcoming and helpful.

All site staff very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to ask from directions to assisting with starting the car with a flat battery. The site is located in an area that is very rich with coastal and country attractions.
