It was our intention to only stay overnight and move onto a site on outskirts of York, but we stayed for 3 nights. We were made very welcome by the wardens who showed us where all the facilities were and we were taken to our pitch.
The toilets and shower facilities are excellent, floors are tiled and the building was warm with plenty of hot water on tap (pardon the pun )
A mobile fish and chip van visits the site 2-3 times and are highly recommended.
It is approximately 3/4 mile or 15mins brisk walk into Boroughbridge which has variety of shops and cafes.
We used our bus passes to visit York approximately 40 mins in bus which stops outside of site and meets connection in Boroughbridge No 142.The bus for Knaresborough and Harrogate goes in opposite direction also from site.
Would I reccomend this site?most definitely,I am sure we will visit again nothing was too much trouble for site managers.
It is however close to a trading estate and there is some noise from the Milk plant but it didnt bother us.

Very welcoming on arrival nothing was to much trouble. The shower and toilet facilities are outstandingly tidy and probably the best I've ever seen and used. The site is always very clean and well looked after. Credit to the staff you can see they work very hard to mate in this to a very high standard. Location is good with Morrisons just up the road. We was at the front of the site by the main road which starts to get busy very early. But didn't bother us to much. Stopped here twice now and will look forward to stopping here again.

“What a lovely site this is. Stayed over a weekend in June for the first time with our 2 boys 11 and 8 and will be back again, one of the best c&cc sites we have been to.
The site has a small play area for the kids and an area on 'the paddock' for ball games etc. Lovely peaceful site by the river (no direct access though) with regular visits from the ducks. Fish and Chip van visits the site on a tues, thurs and sat evening between 430 and 515 although we didnt get the opportunity to try this time. Boroughbridge is a short drive away or accessible on foot with directions available from reception, we had a lovely sunday lunch at the three horse shoes which was not over priced. Site also ideally located for visiting York and Harrogate.
Looking forward to our next visit keep up the good work and thanks for a lovely weekend.”
