    Top site for walking

Located on the River Ure, this campsite is a great spot for walking or visiting nearby York.

Our pretty Boroughbridge Club campsite in north Yorkshire, just off the A1, is a great stop over site for those traveling up or down the country. Equally, its location close the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks makes it a good base for those wanting to explore Yorkshire’s many attractions.

The River Ure borders the campsite and provides somewhere to relax and watch the world float by. The campsite benefits from recently refurbished facilities, it also has a well-stocked shop and a large area for ball games.

There are a number of walking opportunities from the campsite. The old town of Boroughbridge is within walking distance. There are a few circular walks from the site, or you can enjoy a stroll along the river from Roecliffe to Ripon.

The delightful Harrogate – great for shopping and Betty’s Tearoom – and the city of York – with its famous minster and the Jorvik Viking Centre – are a drive away while Fountains Abbey, Studley Royall and Newby Hall make interesting days out.

Self-catering accommodation is available at this site. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the self-catering properties).

Available to buy are stunning holiday caravans and lodges. Visit the Club Holiday Homes website to find out more or call 02477 983801.

This lovely site is close to many beautiful places of interest, Nidderdale Valley holds so much beauty in so many ways. We visited Pateley Bridge very quaint we found a lovely little place called The Willow we had cream teas and it was superb, many more delicious items to choose from. Spent a day in Knarsborough had a row on the river in the wonderful sunshine splendid that was. lots to see and many places to eat and very reasonable we found it. Harrogate was another visit, not forgetting to visit Bettys Tearooms of course, so much to do even if you a not a great shopper. A great site to stay if you want to visit places that are not to far away, wonderful experience.

Ideal stopover if travelling and as a base to tour round the area.

Ideal stopover if travelling and as a base to tour round the area. Nothing within 'easy' walking distance but Boroughbridge town only 5 minutes by car and a Morrisons in the town with a good cafe for meals. There were site improvements going on during our visit (laying new hookup cables) but the upheaval was kept to a minimum and did not disturb our stay. Great site. Will use again if we are in the area in the future. A special thanks to the staff!

The site was beautifully maintained, within easy reach of attractions such as Fountains Abbey & Brimham Rocks. The staff were welcoming & very helpful, they allocated us an excellent pitch so we could drive straight off the next morning with very little effort. We were going to pick up a takeaway locally but an excellent fish & chip van visited the site that night so we were very happy. Very easy access to A1M but no traffic noise. Will definitely use this site again.

just had a 2 night break at this site and thoroughly enjoyed the experience facilities on site are as usual with CCC immaculate. had a chat with Tina( head warden and lovely lady) who explained her plans for a nature walk which would only enhance the great dog walking area. The only slight quibble I have, and I know there is probably a very good reason for it, but there is no access to the river Ure which runs along side the site? being an angler this would for me, be heaven !! brilliant site, will return.

“What a lovely site this is. Stayed over a weekend in June for the first time with our 2 boys 11 and 8 and will be back again, one of the best c&cc sites we have been to. The site has a small play area for the kids and an area on 'the paddock' for ball games etc. Lovely peaceful site by the river (no direct access though) with regular visits from the ducks. Fish and Chip van visits the site on a tues, thurs and sat evening between 430 and 515 although we didnt get the opportunity to try this time. Boroughbridge is a short drive away or accessible on foot with directions available from reception, we had a lovely sunday lunch at the three horse shoes which was not over priced. Site also ideally located for visiting York and Harrogate. Looking forward to our next visit keep up the good work and thanks for a lovely weekend.”
