Enjoy nature walks, cycle trails and the Peak District from this site.

Our award-winning Club campsite at Teversal is surrounded by gloriously varied walking country. Opposite, the Silverhill Wood Country Park offers direct access to the Teversal Trails and miles of walking and cycling paths. Further afield the walking and cycling trails of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District offer more challenges through ever changing scenery.

There are a range of Boardman bikes available for hire on site so you can explore the local area during your stay. Hire costs are from as little as £6 per hour or £15 per day. Bookings can be made directly with the site, which is advisable during the peak periods.

Teversal is an established campsite. Hedges and greenery pepper the site which boasts fantastic amenities: auto sensor power showers, individual washrooms with shower, toilet and sink, parent and child facilities, a well-equipped laundry and washing up area and children’s play area. The shop is well stocked and morning papers are available. There’s even a dog/bike shower.

If you can tear yourself away from the campsite, there are numerous attractions close by. The National Trust’s Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House and Gardens are within easy reach as is Bolsover Castle and Newstead Abbey, the former home of the poet Lord Byron.

Water lovers are catered for at the National Watersports Centre which offers white water rafting, wake boarding, water skiing, sailing and more. Families will love Water Meadows Family Fun pool with slides and wave machine situated in Mansfield.

One of the chemical/waste water disposal points was right next door to the kiddies play area, which seemed rather strange. I was using a mobility scooter whilst we were staying there. Whilst there were plentiful pathways in the Silverhill Wood plantation opposite the site, there was so much gravel around the site, both on the pitch and the site roads, I had difficulty getting around the site and to the shower block etc.

Considering the site was full on our visit, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful, there is a play area for younger children and a large dog walking field, just across the road are the Silver hill woods, ideal for walking or cycling, the Carnarvon pub is a couple of hundred yards down the road, about a mile up the road is a Co Op and a couple of takeaways, Butchers etc. We were very impressed on our first visit and will be returning soon

“Luxury with a capital L. We were lucky to get a late booking which I am sure is only because word has not go out yet. Judging by the attention they were drawing from other campers it will soon! Thanks to Jayne and Chris for a wonderful weekend.”
